- I was invited to the WWE 2K19 preview event in Covent Garden and got to spend a couple of hours with WWE 2K19. Here are my initial thoughts on the new Create an Arena mode.

Thank you for this. Just confirms my disappointment in this mode this year. What an absolute shame. CAA is where I spend most of my time and I was so excited to try some different templates. Damnit.

I sucks this mode hasn't seen major major upgrades since it's inception. There's so much potential in the mode.

Im happy they have the crowd lighting feature. Now I can recreate the feel of the 12-2k15 arena feels

Wait...so they put the Tokyo dome in the game but you can't customize it? Then what's the point? 🤦🏽♂️
Because it's something that happens in the story for Career mode and that's it. That's the only reason they put it in. Because it's part of the single player story.
Still, it's fucking stupid, though. I'm not defending it, or 2K's laziness, i'm just saying as far as they're concerned, it's just a story thing that you can unlock. They didn't even care to try and make it so people can USE it.
Could be a right's issue as well.
The lack of additions to both CAA and CAW mode is extremely disappointing.
I know they're always going to, but it would be nice if one of these years they didn't vomit W logos all over the high school gym and indie arenas.
2K doesn't give a shit about anything. They're idiots with the design sense of a bunch of 12 year olds.

I like the new features. They custom chairs are a really nice touch and finally we can change the announce table type but COME ON. They could add so much more. If they allow me to make a 90s arena then they should also allow me to hang banners above the ring to advertise the even. If you notice in the Steve Austin 2k showcase, they've hung banners above every arena. And how about mix and matching certain venue types. If I wanna make a Wrestlemania 29 arena then they should let us change the structure build above the ring to replicate what you saw in real life. How about changing the jumbo tron? Or letting us add advertisements on the walls of the venue like they do with KFC and Snickers. Or custome images. I should be able hang a Subway ad on the wall or even in the nameplate. Oh I know! How about letting make custom venues. Let us choose where to put the stairs and the seating rows like in the NBA games. In conclusion, create arena's options should be on the same level as the dev's when they create arenas. We have a lot of options for NBA 2k19 arena customization...
2K is fucking lazy and they just don't care.
Glad the lighting is better. That was my big complaint about last years CAA

While disappointed there wasn’t much new stuff I was okay until I found out they removed wrestlemania 32 from the game and didn’t leave the stage for it. really really bummed out by that as it’s my favourite stage design 😔

They couldn't even add the modern ppv stage template? They have the curved smackdown titantron for ppvs now, couldn't add that???????

Ive always love creating arenas, and seeing nearly the identical creation suite from 2K17 (and yess 17, i pay attention) is very dissappointing, cant understand why they cant add anymore, but I gotta admit I love the fog and lighting options !
Thank you for the in depth detail..such a shame about the venus and banners. But the small new add on are not too bad to complain about. Oh a side note, who do you have plan to create first this year? I always pick up your creations so I cant wait for this year!

Because 2K are fucking lazy. It's so easy for them to basically do something that takes the developer 2 minutes with a dev tool, like making the heads bigger, and then market that as a major feature, while doing jack-shit with everything else. Seriously, Big Head Modes stopped and died out with gaming in the early 2000's because people caught on that it was just cheap, lazy and dumb. And 2K is literally going back nearly 2 decades to dig out a lame little easter egg from the Playstation 1 era that's possible for a developer to do with a model enlarging tool, and convince people it's an important new feature for this year.
For fuck's sake, Half their marketing is touting something you could find as a minor unlockable from an old-school Tony Hawk game or something, and calling it amazing. The slaps in the face from this company is ridiculous at this point. It's like they're making fun of us for how little they care.
And just like that any excitement I had is gone. Wanted to use the Mexico and Japan tour venues for sure and the fact that when u pick a titantron movie for let's say Raw, it still comes up with the WWE Network image rather than the actual Raw titantron. Also really wish they had a library of different ring banners to choose from as finding them on community creations is a pain, same with electronic billboards being static and no moving images
I know wwe 13 and 14 at least had the electronic billboard with smackdown and raw nxt superstars at least as a pattern.
Also they should update the patterns so their more animated instead of just moving from left to right. For ex they have the smackdown 2010 thru 15 pattern but it just moves from left to right. It be nice if it was like on tv. Also why not have the create a video clips as part of the wall header billboard options. That way during a custom arena match i can see the stage lookin life like instead of lookin like some peice of paper with designs.
2K are lazy fucks who don't care about anything but special editions, and pre-order bonus hype.
I've been really enjoying your 2k19 stuff, way more in depth than other channels. Did you happen to get more footage of the CAW mode? I'd love to see what new items are available this year.

There are so many arenas they can add for us to pick and choose from to make unique arenas. Especially if they added in more of the mania arenas and arenas anywhere from 2002-2008. Some of the best sets were between those years. Still waiting for the 2000-2001 version of Monday night RAW
Wish you could have spotlights on the canvas in matches like Sin Caras lighting he had that would be cool.
The creation stuff is why I buy this game. Forget that overrated charity case Daniel Bryan, big head mode and zombie HHH. I wanted new stage parts and customization options. Well, it looks like I'm waiting till the price goes down substantially. To me, it is not worth paying 65 for practically the same exact game.

Hey! ya know something that i really didn’t like of last year that I’m not expecting them to fix was when i was creating a custom video for an entrance of a CaW maybe, was it wouldn’t span the entire screen of the long raw screen ya know. It would just be a tiny square. It would be so cool if they could update some of this to be more customizable. Like able to create an entire color pattern to the stage screen for custom entrance videos. I’m not sure if you were able to see if anything about this has changed for this year but I’m not expecting any changes. I create maybe 50 custom guys every year for my universe mode and to have this ability to really give them a genuine entrance video would be awesome.
Still a work in progress 2k. 2k20, my hopes, does not just add way more, but provide more than enough creation options for gamers.

+Jay - The venues you unlock thru VC are never unlocked in CAA. It has never been that way.
Nope. You can play IN it as it looks, but you can't edit it at all. That would require 2K to actually give a shit and they can't ever be fucking bothered to do anything right, but add 3 minor things no one cares about, and all they care about is that deluxe edition, season pass and pre-order bonus hype crap. Yet they trot out the same lazy copy/paste shit every year. These games are a scam and i'm shocked that people still fall for it.
I wish for 2K20, they let us add more walls so we can make stages look huge for big events.

Update the patterns so that their like the create a video movie clips.
In wwe 13 if u create a video then the wrestler would have custom trons and stage graphics during the entrance. Bring that back. And let us use those graphics for create arena or make new graphics/patterns etc.
What they need to do is fix the led lights for old arenas such as armedegdon, vengeance and so on... hated playing in arenas with no led lights working.
could we get some CAW guides, I've always sucked at creating wrestlers. but I would love to make some local indie guys.

Since the nxt 10 arena isnt in the create arena then the header and wall isnt in the game meaning i still cant make an accurate 2008 to 2012 arena. Unless somehow it is an option. Or mabey a downloadable.

CAA is kinda disappointing but did they change the lighting? Looks better than 2k18 in my oppinion.
Textures and lighting seem to have been worked on again this year. Attires look really good this year cause of the changes they have made.

I am SUPER disappointed in the fact that 2K didn't give us the templates/stage parts of the Pay Per View arenas. Like.. They did that same dumb ass shit in 2K18. I desperately wanted to use the NXT Takeover Florida stage set but I got by and told myself, it'll for sure be in the next game. It's literally every Pay Per Views set in this game... Why can't I use it to update Raw & Smackdown? Ugh.... Man... It's always something missing... Yes overall the game is great but how they keep missing important inclusions like stage parts that are in EVERY arena in the game...

Theres lots of new things if your gonna skip a game cause this one mode then your missing out. This year is by far the most stuff they have added to the game since they took over.
