Germanys strongest Dark Rock-band have found their very own standpoint in the cosmos of music and have once again lacerated their lesions for "Void Estate": After 25 years of agony they release opus number nine. Inside of a maze of Goth, Doom, Metal, doleful Alternative and deep-rooted pain, they are desperate to find hope. END OF GREEN come from a world of their own; no other band is able to visualize isolation in the midst of beauty with such ear-piercing power. Michelle Darkness sings touching and intimate dirges about aging, loss and loneliness. Every note is clutched by wistfulness and somewhere in these lofty melodies glimmers a spark of optimism; A redeeming ray of hope sheltered in melodic hook lines. Though we are aware of the doom of our very souls songs like "The Unseen” offer the listener a light at the end of the tunnel: "Together, we are less alone.”

Type O Negative was green... this is the END OF GREEN. Awesome, love it.
They take a lot of influence from them. They did a cover of Type O Negative's "Black No. 1" for a tribute album called "Blood, Sweat, and Tears." You should check it out, because it's pretty great.

Pink Floyd made the Dark side of the moon, and then, End Of Green made the Dark side of the sun
Llorenç Balsach and I freaking love both. They're totally different but I feel like they both treat the same subjects... lunacy, desperation and death, but approach it in different way.

I think they are trying to say that the dark side of the sun is the moon... The night. The end of the day. And by what we can see on this video, there is a lot of "time is passing by, you are getting older, death will come". More like a sunset... Something coming to an end!

Я купил и переслушал альбом более 9000 раз. Это субъективно, предупреждаю, но альбом, определенно полное говно. Он очень скучен, он неинтересен ни в музыкальном, ни в литературном плане. Только 2 трэка, ребят: Send in the clowns и Leave This Town, остальное можно смело проспать. Нет, я люблю дум, особенно funeral doom, он цепляет, не смотря на свою монотонность, но этот альбом - тягучее говно, без цепляющих композиций. Худший альбом за всю историю моей любимой группы. Идите в жопу со своим Pink Floyd и прочей психоделикой. Я так мечтал о нормальном gothic metal, с нормальным мужским вокалом, а получил турецкую жвачку Turbo, или пиво, разбавленное Fanta. Пойду слушать шедевральных Paradise Lost
Так же, чисто субъективно отвечу, что и у Paradise Lost в крайнем альбоме только пару песен более-менее. А вот у EoG я бы, помимо Send In The Clowns отметил бы Mollodrome и Worn And Torn.

исполнителей слегка других стилей, то те вообще ушли в русло попсы. Здесь ещё есть что-то приятное, что-то от старой школы.
Egor Gusarov Да, я же предупреждал, что субъективно. Он не плох, как любой психоделический альбом, и зайдет любителям Type of Negative, но я полюбил их немного за другое. За драйв Курта и настоящий голос готик метала. Круче Мишеля пока никто не пел, даже здесь он выложился на 100.
