The court would then put a garnish on the tenant until the amount sued for is met. And seeing my dad have his paychecks garnished before it is not a fun road.
The car is covered under comprehensive on the auto policy so long as the auto policy has comprehensive coverage. The property damage could be covered under the auto policy. The building is covered by its policy under fire peril losses. The buildings’s policy will subrogate to the car policy to recover any property damage coverage that’s available on the auto policy. The fire department may send a bill to the building owner to recover some firefighting costs if the building was a commercial policy, example being a habitational building (apartments rented to others).
