You were at Eastwood. Why are you spray painting when you could have bought a rust encapsulator, chassis saver , por15, cavity wax , etc? Do it right, do it once. Use the wrong product, and " apply more paint as needed ".

@@jeremysales1232 not simply put, from the guy that has owned this one for a decade, early on I cleaned and painted the undercarriage of my jeep with Rust reformer and then flat black rustoleum on top of that, and it has held up great, the one thing I didn't do was the inner rockers, and a north east snowstorm was the beginning of them rusting out, I repaired and replaced what needed to be done and then I treated the rest of them by cleaning them out and putting a fresh coat of POR15 where I could, but I've also witnessed POR 15 fail because it is not UV rated, and it will peel with time. Granted, spray paint will fade with time if it is exposed to wind and loose terrain or dust, but on the inside of the rocker, this is less of an issue for both the POR 15 and the spray paint, but both work if you're Rust hasn't reached flaking off stages and my rockers were still in good shape elsewhere that I left, so it should do the trick for the next decade, after that this XJ will probably get turned into the next version of itself, and the rockers will probably be gone. My question to you is how do you get POR 15 into the inside of a rocker that still closed, can it be sprayed in a similar fashion?

@@jeremysales1232 I should also add that I pulled the interior carpet out 7ish years ago and took care of the surface rust that was starting in the cab and sprayed them down, about seven months ago I had to pull the carpet from Water/mud getting in, and all my surface rust correction still looked fantastic.
