It’s just as hard living as an herbivore too because of what happened in this scene. I love how in the Beastars world, it doesn’t matter what you’re born as: there’s no easy way of living. On one hand, herbivores don’t eat meat but they’re at risk of becoming that. Carnivores, on the other, have to keep themselves in check to avoid hurting these herbivores. Doesn’t help that the latter is essentially shamed by society for eating meat. Not their fault they were born that way

Beast Complex In the future it show the girl got popular and become a celebrity for the scar and searching to meet the dude again but the dude keep running away from her cuz he afraid its gonna happen again so yes they did reconcile in the end, they even went on a date again
As horrifying as this scene is, it’s something that shows how hard it is for both herbivores and carnivores, especially when in a relationship. Haru knows the risks of being in said relationship, something Eado and Akko failed to understand. The love was there, but it’s not a substitute for learning. Akko’s lucky to have not been killed, so her and Eado have learned a harsh lesson in mixed species relationships

Doesn't make sense that it's a carnivore/herbivore thing because animals that eat meat also eat other meat eating species. It's different species in general.

I really like how Eado’s main concern before he got in the police car was that Ako was okay and he wants the doctors to save her. Like yes he’s freaking out that he accidentally mauled her but his main focus is Ako and her safety!

Only because of the heavy backlash. You can't use animals as a metaphor for class or ethical differences and then ALWAYS have the mixed couple end up horribly bad. Quite the messed up message for Legoshi and Haru.

Women being primarily the prey species in the relationships, and males represented as the carnivores. We see incidents like this every day in hetero relationships where the woman ends up beaten or killed by her so called male 'partner'.

It's a commentary on society, politics, ideology vs reality, and such, using anthropomorphic animals and the idea of prey and predator trying to coexist as a way of highlighting various issues and struggles of life.
This was what Legoshi feared would, and nearly did, happen for him & her. The level of self control he managed to exhibit really is remarkable.
This is why it's hard to live as a carnivore.
