@NoEditAndy these servers only work if they fix the game nothing will stick unless they fix it. You can give them all the mats and all the gold to hone and do faster horizontal etc... but if the game doesn't remove the cards remove power behind deep horizontal like skill points behind ignea tokens and insane amount of gold needed to hone to new content. All of this stuff needs to get fixed. Once new players can join the general public at the launch of new content thats the only way the game can grow a little rather than shrink. Make the chaos dungeons rewards and unas tasks just login rewards. Fix the game.
Peak and average concurrent =/= the total number of players. Yes these values were higher during jumpstart, but there was also a tremendous bot problem still at that time. So it's difficult to gage the true player population. For a game as niche as Lost Ark, the player population is pretty healthy right now and this event should bring in a lot of new players. It's also our responsibility as a community that cares about the game to try to keep as many of these players around by assisting them and being mentors and not gatekeeping so hard. It's a shame that Smilegate and AGS don't encourage that kind of compassion through reward systems.

It’s not clear whether you will be able to move it to your specific server but I’m guessing it has to since there was word that it was helpful for veterans too

In the end I asked chat GP and it told me they changed it to ignite servers. I feel like their marketing is zero and even people like me who search so much for the info barely get anything 😅

no igniter server, jumpstart or erection server will save this game if not a single fundamental things changes. Remember this game started with 1.3 M players, if it already failed, and the last JS failed, then the new one will be 100% fail
Im a 🐐 imo the jss also didnt work because it was mostly vets gearing an extra roster instead of real returning/new, so it was like a reg server but rolled back since we had no cards or horizontal. Id say out the whole month i play of jss (after 1540 I moved on to my reg account) its safe to say that the hardcore/elite players if they’re allowed again in those servers are gonna kill it again since they always want to re on the smallest of mistakes or stop the raid and flame ppl for no reason like dude its a new server expect new players and failed mechs cmon.
I think these ignite servers and powerpass is more of a downside then a bonus. The boosted servers could be helpful if done right but there is no excuse for powerpass. Fix the issue and not bandage it. Powerpass hurts more then it helps new or returning players and only helps veteran players. You just powerpass them to gatekeeping. I was returning like 2 months after akkan and as a returning I was struggling so hard to find parties on the edge of quitting but I kept pushing like there was no tomorrow and I am finally feel comfortable. I think they should work on reducing gatekeeping, going into issue why it is is what it is and try to fix these issues rather creating new ones or trying to hide them. Remove powerpass it was and is dumb idea in the first place.
There is no miracle solution for gatekeeping in this game, nor in any other MMOs, other than dumbing down the raids to the point that it is a guaranteed clear regardless of who you play with in the raid lobby. There are ways to mitigate gatekeeping. I would start with removing titles, achievements and trophies beyond the 1st clear. Take for example the newest raid, Behemoth. There are already people who gatekeep in the second week based on 5/10 clears. There is a title at 10 clears. This is all the more stupid, because some shmuck, with his crappy 1620 chars that have none or barely any transcendence on his alts, can choose to gatekeep my juiced 1660 main just because I choose not to bother doing this raid, especially g2, on my 1620 alts. All the more stupid is gatekeeping at Behemoth since over there you don't have almost any difficulty mechanics to execute. Just stay alive and do damage. But then again, I just need 2 more clears to get full trans on weapon and if I can't get into lobbies because of titles and shit, I can just go back to Ivory Tower on my main. 4k gold difference. Just not worth all the trouble until Aegir.

My problem with this game extends beyond the catch-up systems, even. There are next to no avenues to enjoy old content for the players who don't want to jump straight into raiding. It's an inherent design flaw at this point. Want to play from the start and try to enjoy the story? Sorry, our Powerpasses auto-complete all quests, including Roster ones you can only play once per account. Go raid. Want to try to enjoy horizontal content? Sorry, we hand out everything through accelerated tracks, so those multiplayer islands you remember? No one does them, dead content. Go raid. Want to try to do anything remotely fun that you can try out just for the sake of it? NO, YOU'RE WRONG. GO RAID. Imagine you're playing something like .. FFXIV. Lost Ark's catchup mechanics are the equivalent of dropping you into the middle of Endwalker, waving and shouting 'Good luck!', then walking away. Oh, and the story content is now Savage difficulty on Normal, and required to progress in groups that will kick you at a moment's notice if you make *any* mistakes - if you can even find one at all, thanks to the ingrained gatekeeping. Have fun, enjoy lobby simulator! Stupid, gacha-whale-milking design. No wonder it's dying, just like those games eventually do.
I agree with you which is why I think it's personally an easy fix since they have all the old content laid out already. If they bring in cool stuff like cosmetics or titles or whatever, I would 100% do old content again. Alaric? I would love doing that boss again for old times sake if it meant I can get like a trident weapon skin. Literally anything
@@NoEditAndy Yeah. All they need to do is move character upgrade rewards (skill points, runes, etc.) out of those old contents, give away those, and let people do them for lore ... or add more meta-events with gold rewards, something like GW2 ... but that requires work, I guess. It's really sad.
