There were three different trucks picking up three different waste streams in this video, green lids are for green-waste. Yes these trucks have paddle packers.
Nice video as you said, not to often you see veolia side loaders, only Ka-ring-gai in Sydney and Macky in Qld that I'm aware of that still have veolia for domestic contracts. Anyways terrific work Cheers Ivecofan21 :-)
Excelent video !! Whats the lid colors mean he was picking up orange ones then green ones then finally yellow. The green is recycling or green waste?Oh from the shape of the hopper is that a paddle packer?
Makes it easier to line up the bin and lifter, because you can see exactly where the grabber's going to be when you lift the arm, compared to it being retracted into the truck.
Great work Mitch, love seeing these older trucks in a good quality movie. I saw a few of these trucks for sale on trucksales a few months ago. I remember Veolia use to be the biggest waste company in Australia, however they hardly have any council contracts now, I reckon Sita is the biggest now, Sita has gotten some huge contracts.
Mmmm I couldn't give you the exact amount, but definitely more than 20 side loaders. I know Veolia ran at least 4 on green-waste, used to see them tipping off at Kimbriki.
Sick Footage Mitch, That recycling truck is still at URM Today used ad a spare truck when others brake down or when they are short staffed for RL's. Do you also know the fleet number for the recycling truck? Cool Work Keep it up mate =]
Got a few contracts in TAS as well - seems like that's the only state where they keep their domestic work happening, called it quits elsewhere.

I really do like the way that Garbage driver operates! He also uses mirrors to and he is pretty fast, Nice and swift.
Wow these garbage trucks were the ex-x2 hornsby trucks. The garbage trucks that took over these are now no longer doing Hornsby.
Thanks Mitchell.Hope to see more videos of you and your truck too!!!
