I wanted to thank you for your videos and reviews/tips on your website, it made my Advance 25e build easy. I am also glad you reviewed and modded this model as it was on my list. I found the plane with no electrics on pw-rc for 135 plus 55 dollars shipping since HK wont restock this (in a timely manner). I'm going to follow your build and tips. Many thanks for your work.
was just talking too afraid to hear about this video I seen it last year I just realized it was you that has this badass plane I would love to have this 73 incher
Thanks for watching! Sorry for the delay... I am beginning to get lots of mails and messages. Between RUclips, Facebook and the website it is getting hard to track it all! This Cessna is such a great flying plane. I lands very easily with zero flaps, but a small amount of flaps does help a bit... too much flap is a bit to much drag... I was amazed at how aerobatic and fast it is as well. Rich
There are so many that will work well, my plane had the stock servos that were included in the receiver ready version of the plane. I would use at least a 18 gram in the elevator and rudder, preferably a metal gear servo for the nose wheel/rudder servo
Torque is only a small part of it... Torque causes a rolling motion... What is causing most planes to turn (Yaw) left is called P-Factor.... It is caused by the decending prop blade (ususlly on the right side of the plane) taking a bigger "Bite" of the relative wind than the assending prop blade... the result is A-Symetric thrust... ie the right side of the prop disk is putting out more thrust than the left side...P-Factor is most pronounced at low airspeeds and high angels of attack...
I have this one and loaded it up with 2x 4s 4000mah, gopro and 3s 2200mah/osd/vtx, even with all that weight it flew well and I managed to emergency land ok with a wrecked stock motor (overheated and magnets came loose) . I will get a bigger motor now! and smaller battery for vtx/osd
Yes, its plenty strong! My plane is all stock PNF except for the Motor... check out the website, rcinformer for in-depth details on this plane and many improvements. Rich
HEY! You can't do aerobatics like that in a Cessna 182! It's not approved for those maneuvers! Oh - that's in the real thing. Seriously, VERY cool to see a 182 doing "abnormal" aerobatics, especially extreme stuff that would tear a real 182 to shreds! Awesome plane, and incredible maneuvers!
I have made many orders with them, with no problems... they have good stuff.... I am even flying the plane on the $50 Turnigy 9X radio they sell.... they are taking over... Rich
I use HK mostly for components such as electrical connectors, wiring and batteries. One deans connector is $4 at the local hobby shop, U can get a bag of 10 pairs for $4 at HK so I stock up at HK for these components. they have some good planes there but only a few that I am interested in.
Hi, thank you for response...I have Ordered the HOBBYKING CIVIL 182 500 CLASS Cessna ..I have searched everywhere on the Websites for the "SIZE" of the Propeller...no luck...I have used the 3 Blades Master Airscrew Propellers on my Hobbyking C47 and they are GREAT...
I wish I could help out but I have no affiliation with HK. In fact, I speculate that they have intentionally ignored me :) I made the video because it was a good plane and I had started the channel to help folks out due some of the issues you mention. I would not order back ordered items with in stock items from HK, it can take forever. If you want great customer service shop at MOTIONRC they are redefining the shopping experience in the hobby...
Very nice flying site. I wish I had a manicured grass field to fly off of. Sadly the desert doesnt allow for it. And the local parks and high schools dont or wont crop there fields close enough.
good review. I might buy this plane some day, just because I fly real cessnas and would love to do a large scale FPV version and re create that experience. (I have flown RC on and off for 30 years) For the newbies - this plane is too large and fragile to teach yourself to fly with! Be warned. Could learn with it in a club setting with an instructor only. If you wish to learn on your own, start with sims, micros and park flyer size trainers please. But go fo rit cheers
I figure that if it can do all this stuff, it can confidently handle normal maneuvers... I really test fly everything and push it so you don't have to!
Thanks!!....On checking your web site...it looks like they have yet to supply full Fowler "scale" style flaps..??? I expect this would make landings slower etc...more scale like technique..?? You didn't appear to be going to a "full flap" setting on landing...?? More like a windy or take off setting..?? Regards Laurie
BTW I am an airplane guy too & my ambition to learn the multi-rotor FPV world has led me in a direction that I don’t understand so well. Tower Hobbies is a great trustworthy company that I have relied on for years in the airplane world but unfortunately they aren’t doing the multi-ro thing. I feel so screwed by HobbyKing right now. If they do me right I will amend my comments but if not??
Quite fancied this but didn't realise how old the video is, looks like it's been discontinued; can't seem to find anyone still selling it and Hobby King's page just shows 404!
Thanks man! I have got to do something different because I cannot continue to do business this way. I feel so screwed and I am not a rich guy like you see on a lot of yt vids so $800 bucks is a very big deal to me and if they screw me on this , who am I am going to complain to? They just took two orders and combined them and sent me all the cheap stuff but all of the BIG items were left off. I just saw a vid from Bruce that concludes the same thing.Feel like I am going to be sick. Thanks bro :(
Did it come with a simulation software to practice on the computer before actually flying? So model airplanes come with such things and they let you use the exact remote control connected to the computer. I will buy this if it comes with one.
yesterday, i try to mount a motor but the X mount not fit. what should i do? My motor is EMP 4260 bought from leadershobby long time ago. not the same like the turnigy.
hello buddy I was really digging this video I really want an e flight apprentice but I found a Cessna 182 on eBay 55 inch wingspan with shipping and everything is about 172 dollars but I seen how big this was and you said around two hundred bucks I'm disabled in a wheelchair I have a youtube channel with RC cars and a quadcopter I'm very interested in this could you tell me where you bought it it will be after the first of the year before I could get one got Christmas and holidays birthdays everything all at once and I'm on a fixed income with my disability had a bad motorcycle wreck broke my neck in two places my back in two places shattered my right leg and foot and I've been wanting an airplane for a really long time and I'm going to subscribe to your channel and check out more of your videos but I thought this review was one of the best I have ever seen thank you very much buddy for any help you can give me and a big thumbs up to you my good friend my name is Roy if you don't mind check out my youtube channel it's me and my grandson he's 4 years old and I gave him about $1,000 setup on a Traxxas E Revo Mamba Monster set up once again thank you buddy for such a cool review I repeat myself a lot sorry about that lol
I am in the filippines , there are no hobby shops within a 1,000 miles . Do you ship to the filippines and can a complete package with adhesives , transmitter up tick on the battery and motor and s 3 blade prop ?
Is there any way to actually talk to someone from HobbyKing on the phone? I have a situation with my orders that’s too complicated to explain through email & language barrier! I had two separate orders & each of them had 1 back-order item. A CS rep tried to remove the BO Items to release the orders. Well I got one but the other was BIG MONEY and I havent received a single item from it. I cannot get anyone at HK to understand this! Please help?
fabricating an in-cockpit FPV setup for this particular model, and i need like2 or 3 meassurements.. widht of body at its widest about where the first side-window is.. the height of that side window, and the lenght of the windows.. from the point where the backmost side-window ends, to the point where the front-window/winscreen begins.. i cant find info like this on google, and if you could help me, i'd forever be in your debt:-)
AmAzeMe You made my day when I seen that, went to order it but the arf is out of stock. I hate to spend the money for the rtf so I gave my email for the notification alert when its back in stock. Thanks guys.
Look how young you are - man if you could know then what you know now huh? What a different time it was, evidence by the fact that corrigations and wheel pants on a (at best, mildly scale) Cessna are a selling /talking point! LMAO
RCINFORMER awesome plane. what's the flight time on the battery? and can you get a bigger battery in there without affecting the flight characteristic!
How can 60 plus posts make someone an R/C expert? Someone can learn some knowledge that way but there is no substitute for experience.... To be an expert you also have to get out and fly and experience R/C.... $10 or $250 makes no difference if you are flying, only if you are crashing...We go to the R/C field to FLY not to crash... Seriously, Who goes to the flying field to crash? :)
Sorry, no problem, most of us fyers (includes many of my flying buddies) watch these clips searching out planes to buy. We not only want to see planes fly but we want to HEAR the cool planes...not listen to music. Great job on the clip though!

Another great motivational video ...lovely plane👍

Good job Rich , in your capable hends every of RC model becomes desirable...All the best...
@RCINFORMER Just took a look at the website and wow, impressive detail on the improvements you did. Good work.
MAN! There is nothing I Love more than a big scale plane being flown scale. :)
Oh, now i got it. the rudder also need strong servo too as it take heavy load during taxi... thank you sir.
Wow, what a nice plane, and what a great review! Thanks so much! I am heading to the website now.

Great review thanks, looks like a cool plane.
Yes, I believe thay have it in the US warehouse as well!
Super review hobby king Will be getting a new customer thanks to you!
Thanks, My friend Charlie produced produced the music! See the description for the link to his site!

Thank you for the review--- excellent!!
A beginner, with the guidance of a good instructor, should have no problem with it! Its only as good as the builder and the flyer!
Nice Review !

Great video! keep um coming!!!
This is the reciever ready version.. i added a reciever and battery... i also changed the motor...
The prevailing winds seem to mostly favor a south landing at my field...if the wind shifts.. we land the other way...

Carpet runner?
Good idea!
You need Bush planes with large tires!
Very impressive
so amazing video
Thanks for the reply, check out the site for detailed improvements on this plane
its probably habit due to the torque when applying throttle,rc planes naturally want to pull to the left when throttle is applied
is a really cool plane , the shipping may be very expensive.

Probably a G32 would be equivalent.... But i am not sure if the bolt patern for mounting is the same... Rich
The Hobby King warehouse carries them... just check the stock status!

You are a nice rc pilot !! :D
yes, you are correct:)
Where can I buy a good assortment of centres of gravity? My planes don't usually include them.
oh, mine actually a kit without any electronic. i bought from pw-rc not hobbyking but its the same Tian Sheng giant cessna.
I got it from HobbyKing... Did i get it right?
Quite fancied this but didn't realise how old the video is, looks like it's been discontinued; can't seem to find anyone still selling it and Hobby King's page just shows 404!
I don't think that Hobby King stocks the Turnigy 42-50 700kv motor anymore.
What alternatives would you recommend?
Great review, by the way.
did you get a "X" mount with the plane and the motor?
Thanks man! I have got to do something different because I cannot continue to do business this way. *Please respond!
Hello, do you think you think you could attach a banner to this plane? Would it have enough power?
Thanks!!
My friend played the music....
Nice !!!
ok, well thank you
You probably could, if the motor is not powerful enough you could always add a more powerful one...
i like it
Im not sure?
yesterday, i try to mount a motor but the X mount not fit. what should i do? My motor is EMP 4260 bought from leadershobby long time ago. not the same like the turnigy.

Sir, what servo you recommend to use in this plane. I think 9g too small.
Yeah, just joshing! :)
WOW...................
Probably. And it will take a month to get to you.
Hi what flight times are you getting with this aircraft?
Hola, vivo en Colombia y deseo adquirir este modelo. Me puedes ayudar? Gracias...
hey what motor esc prop combo you flying?
I had the stock setup in it...
I went on the Hobby King website to order one but no luck, I cant find anything out there even comparable to this plane. Any Ideas?
nuttyd2 not sure, i suspect there will be another large one coming out by someone... I have heard a few rumors of a new version coming out.
nuttyd2 i found one on Banna Hobby, www.bananahobby.com/5-ch-blitzrcworks-red-giant-sky-trainer-w-flaps-rc-trainer-airplane-rtf.html
AmAzeMe Actually... that does look like exactly the same one:)
AmAzeMe You made my day when I seen that, went to order it but the arf is out of stock. I hate to spend the money for the rtf so I gave my email for the notification alert when its back in stock. Thanks guys.
no problem man
Hi all..can you advise me of the size of the PROPELLER..I am thinking of changing to a MASTER AIRSCREW PROPELLER..any advice....
Use ab APC prop if you can... they are the most efficient. Unfortunately, I do not remember the size:(
why does everyone always turn left
that's a nice cessna,and it's hobbyking brand?
$82 shipping to US?
Why does everyone always put the landing gear on backwards?
Maybe theirs are right and YOUR's are backwards...
what is the weight and motor size?
Call your credit card company (or paypal) and cancel the payment.
Look how young you are - man if you could know then what you know now huh? What a different time it was, evidence by the fact that corrigations and wheel pants on a (at best, mildly scale) Cessna are a selling /talking point! LMAO
The full sized version would not fly like that one is doing.
+Ross Tinney a full size could do a lot of what hes doing if in the right hands
Send it I will Check it out!
I want Bay this arcraft
great explanation, thanks, thats what i meant lol
post's will only take you so far,you have to have flight experience.
I am totally regret that I sold this plane. I lost contact to the person who bought mine. Now I dont know where to find it.
did they quit making this model I cant find it
***** sweet thanks for the link
Thanks!
RCINFORMER awesome plane. what's the flight time on the battery? and can you get a bigger battery in there without affecting the flight characteristic!
it has been a while since i have flown it.. but at least 5 to 7 minutes... it will hold a variety of big batterys
RCINFORMER thanks and it looks like hobby king doesn't offer this model anymore :/ (1.8M) . they have smaller versions but not thing guy.

epic music
i really want it but i dont trust cheap sites like hk
You didn't build it. You assembled it. A kit is built. An ARF is assembled. Non the less, still an impressive plane.
cooles video
Nice clip..maybe leave dumb music out..I have a sterio...we want to Hear the PLANE!!!
Nice, but flies to fast. Not scale at all.
nice plane...but you fly it way too fast. slow it down dude!!! it aint gonna fall from the sky!!!
kill that friggin music
Great clip..leave the stupid music out..we want to hear the PLANE!...I HAVE A STERIO 4 MUSIC AT HOME
what's a sterio?
Great clip, great music, great review. Cheers!
Sorry, no problem, most of us fyers (includes many of my flying buddies) watch these clips searching out planes to buy. We not only want to see planes fly but we want to HEAR the cool planes...not listen to music.

wheel pants suck.. you haveto mod alot... the decals... are wrong...not for a newbie... :)
