Hi! Thanks for your question. ☺ In my experience, hand feeding goes a long way and lots of time out of the cage. I’ll place seed on my desk or bed to encourage trust and exploration. The main thing is that they associate you with food. Also, a single dove will likely bond with their human and less likely to bond if kept in pairs.
