🚨 Common Issue: "Motion not available" on Live Wallpapers 🚨 Hey everyone! If you’re seeing the "Motion not available" message when trying to set a Live Wallpaper on your iPhone, here’s a quick checklist to fix the issue: Turn off Low Power Mode: Go to Settings > Battery and disable Low Power Mode. This mode can prevent Live Wallpapers from working. ⚡ Disable Reduce Motion: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Motion and ensure Reduce Motion is off. This feature can stop the Live Wallpaper animations. 📴 Make Sure You’re Using a Live Photo: Static photos won’t animate. Ensure you’re selecting a Live Photo for the wallpaper. 📸 Set It Again: If the issue persists, try reapplying the Live Wallpaper: Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper. Make sure the Live Photo is set as Live and not Still. 🔄 If these steps don’t fix the issue, feel free to reply to this comment, and I’ll be happy to assist you further. 😊 Thanks for watching and hope this helps! 👍
Hi @blue-jw1iq! Thanks for letting me know. Since your Low Power Mode and Reduce Motion are already off, and the photo is confirmed to be Live, let’s try these additional steps: 1- Restart your iPhone to refresh system settings. 2- Ensure your iPhone software is up-to-date (Settings > General > Software Update). 3- Check if the Live Photo plays correctly in your Photos app (press and hold it to see the animation). If the issue persists, it might be device-specific. Let me know your iPhone model and iOS version for more targeted assistance. 😊
Hi @Miles07i! Sorry to hear it’s not working. Can you confirm: 1- Your iPhone model (Live Wallpapers are only supported on certain models). 2- That the Live Photo is animating in the Photos app (press and hold it). 3- That your iOS is updated to the latest version. If everything checks out and it’s still not working, I’d be happy to help troubleshoot further. Just share a bit more detail! 👍

Hi i have tried it on my ios 18 iphone 15 with the app into live and it worked i have downloaded the video from insta and converted into live photo thanks for the video just one question do we need capcut first to edit video
Hi Akshay! 😊 I'm glad the video helped you set up your Live Wallpaper successfully. To answer your question: CapCut isn't necessary, but it helps if you want to trim or edit the video before converting it into a Live Photo. For example, you can adjust the duration or speed of the video to focus on specific movements. Let me know if you need more details!
You're welcome! 😊 To remove app logos from the final output, consider using the paid versions of those apps or try alternative free apps without watermarks. Let me know if you'd like recommendations!

Hi! This happens because iPhones limit the duration of Live Wallpapers. Typically, they only allow the motion to last a few seconds (around 2-3 seconds). To fit a longer video, you can try these steps: 1- Speed Up the Video: Use apps like CapCut or IntoLive to speed up your 7-second clip so it fits within the allowed time. 2- Trim the Video: Shorten it to focus on the most important part of the animation. Hi! If only part of the animation works, it could mean the Live Photo wasn’t converted properly or the motion wasn’t fully captured. To fix this: - Recheck the Live Photo by playing it in the Photos app. Ensure it plays the full animation. - If it doesn’t, re-convert the original video using apps like IntoLive and make sure you select the entire animation before saving. Thank you for sharing your detailed experience! It’s unfortunate that the troubleshooting steps and even Apple Support didn’t resolve the issue. Since your iPhone 16 on iOS 18.2 still faces problems, here are a few additional suggestions: Reconfirm Compatibility: Ensure the Live Photos you’re using are converted properly and saved as Live Photos directly in your iPhone's Photos app. Apps like IntoLive are reliable for this conversion. Check Photo Metadata: Sometimes, metadata (like motion settings) gets stripped when downloading Live Wallpapers from third-party sources. Using trusted apps or websites can help ensure proper format. Test with Native Live Photos: Try using Live Photos taken with your iPhone's camera (even briefly), as they have the default compatibility. If these work but downloaded ones don’t, it confirms a format issue. Reset All Settings: Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This won't delete your data but will restore default preferences, which might fix a bug. It’s frustrating when even official support doesn’t provide clear answers. I recommend keeping your system updated as bug fixes often come with updates. Let me know if anything works for you or if there's another way I can assist! 😊
@@TechSpecsInfo The live photos saved from into live are HEIF format but all other live photos that I have taken from my iphone are JPEG only those live photo are working are working, but photos converted from intolive or the ones i purchased online in (JPEG). None of them seem to work, even after resetting all the settings
Hi again, and thank you for sharing these details! The issue seems to be tied to the file format compatibility and how iOS handles Live Photos. iPhones typically work better with native Live Photos in JPEG format because that's the default for photos taken with the device's camera. Here's what you can try: 1. Convert HEIF to JPEG for Live Photos: Use a reliable converter app to convert the HEIF Live Photos from IntoLive into JPEG format. Then save them directly to your iPhone's Photos app. Apps like Photoshop Express or Converter+ might help. 2. Check File Metadata: Ensure that the motion metadata is retained after conversion. Sometimes, even a proper format might lose necessary data during the transfer or editing process. 3. Third-Party Apps for Testing: Test the converted JPEG Live Photos using apps like Live Maker or Live Wallpaper 3D to see if they behave differently. 4. Contact IntoLive Support: Since you're using IntoLive, it might help to reach out to their support to confirm if they’ve had similar issues with iOS 18.2. They might offer an alternative solution or update their app for better compatibility. I understand this is frustrating, especially since even resetting settings didn’t work. Let me know if any of these steps improve the situation or if you’d like help exploring more options. 😊
If you’re missing the “Set as Wallpaper” option, it might be due to your iPhone model or iOS version. Make sure your device supports live wallpapers and check if you’ve enabled the correct settings. If you need detailed help, feel free to share your iPhone model and iOS version.

Try a few times but photos album have 2 videos and 1 picture. The 2 videos doesn’t have the use as wallpaper feature except for the picture which has stated live with slight movements & can be use. May I know which part I missed out?
Hi there! Thanks for your question! 😊 Here’s a clarification: Live Wallpapers only use slight movements (1-2 seconds) from your video and not the entire video as a wallpaper. To achieve this, follow these steps carefully: 1️⃣ Edit the Video in CapCut: Trim the video to select the part you want as your Live Wallpaper. Speed up the selected portion if needed to condense the movements into the first few seconds (about 1-2 seconds). 2️⃣ Convert the Edited Video into a Live Photo Using IntoLive App: Import the edited video into the IntoLive app. Convert it into a Live Photo and save it to your gallery. 3️⃣ Set as Live Wallpaper: Go to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose the newly created Live Photo. By editing the video properly before conversion, you can ensure that the desired part of the video becomes your Live Wallpaper. Let me know if this works or if you have further questions! 😊
Hi! The Live Wallpaper feature on iPhone is designed to show only a 1-second portion of the live photo. To make the most of it, you'll need to edit your video or GIF to highlight the moment you want within that 1 second. You can use video editing apps to speed up or trim your video to capture the key part before converting it to a live photo. Let me know if you need suggestions for apps to do this! 😊
Hi! If your wallpaper isn’t moving even after enabling Live, here are a few things to check: 1. Ensure Live Photo is Set Properly: Double-check that you selected the Live Photo option when setting the wallpaper in settings. 2. Press and Hold the Screen: Live wallpapers only move when you press and hold the lock screen. They don’t animate automatically like dynamic wallpapers. 3. Disable Low Power Mode: If Low Power Mode is on, Live Wallpapers may not work. You can check this in Settings > Battery. 4. Reduce Motion Settings: Make sure Reduce Motion is turned off in Accessibility settings (Settings > Accessibility > Motion). Let me know if these steps help or if you’re facing any other issues! 😊
Thanks for sharing more details! In the new iOS versions, pressing and holding the lock screen brings up the "Edit Wallpaper" mode instead of activating the live animation. This change is part of Apple's new customization options. To preview the live animation: Open the Photos app. Select your live photo, then press and hold to see the animation. Unfortunately, the live motion feature no longer works directly on the lock screen in newer iOS updates. Let me know if you need more help! 😊
Hi! 😊 In CapCut, once you've added your video, look for the frame bar line directly below the video preview. This bar shows your video’s timeline, where you can click and scroll to different points for editing. Tap on the timeline to select specific frames and add effects or trim parts by dragging along this bar. Let me know if you need any more help!
Hi! Unfortunately, I can't provide download links, but you can use RUclips's offline feature or trusted tools to save videos. Let me know if you need help with that!
This could happen because live wallpapers on iPhones have a time limit of a few seconds, even if your clip is longer. To use the full 8 seconds, try trimming your video within this limit or converting it into a compatible live photo using apps like “intoLive.” Let me know if you’d like a step-by-step guide!
Hi there! 😊 If CapCut isn’t available in your region, you can use alternative video editing apps like InShot or VN Editor to edit your video before converting it into a Live Photo. Let me know if you'd like recommendations for apps!

Hi @tedgri9936! Thank you for reaching out. It seems like the video might not have been saved correctly to your Live Photos album. Here are a few suggestions to fix the issue: 1️⃣ Check the Save Location: Ensure the video you want to use has been saved as a Live Photo in your Photos app. You can use apps like “IntoLive” to convert videos into Live Photos. 2️⃣ Format Compatibility: Confirm that the video meets Apple’s requirements for Live Photos. Some file formats might not work directly. 3️⃣ Restart and Retry: Try restarting your iPhone and follow the steps again to add a Live Wallpaper. If these steps don’t help, let me know, and I’ll guide you further! 😊 Thanks again for watching the video, and I hope you’re able to set up your Live Wallpaper soon. 👍
Hi! This issue happens when: 1- The live photo or GIF isn’t compatible with the live wallpaper feature. 2- The "Motion" option is unsupported on your device or disabled in settings. Here’s how to troubleshoot: -Use apps like IntoLive to convert GIFs into proper live photos supported by iOS. -Ensure Reduce Motion is turned off in Settings > Accessibility > Motion. -Check that the live photo was saved properly, as iOS may flag incompatible files. For iPhone 13, the live wallpaper feature should work unless restricted by the iOS version. Let me know if these tips help! 😊
It might be worth updating to iOS 18.2, especially if the current version has any bugs affecting the Live Wallpaper feature. Updates often fix glitches and improve performance. However, before updating, check online reviews or Apple's update notes to confirm if the issue you're experiencing has been resolved in the new version. Let me know if you try it out! 😊
Thank you for your patience! Yes, this method should work on the iPhone SE as long as it’s updated to iOS 16 or later. Let me know if you run into any issues! Happy to help!
¡Hola!
Thanks for your feedback! The issue you're mentioning about the loop and the slower speed might be due to how the video was edited before setting it as a live wallpaper. To fix this, try speeding up the video in the editing step (I used CapCut for this) so it plays smoothly and fully on the lock screen. If it's still giving you trouble, feel free to reach out again, and I'll do my best to help you out! 😊
Hi! Sorry to hear it didn’t work for you. On iPhone 15 with iOS 18, ensure the Live Photo is correctly set and check for system updates. Sometimes, restarting the phone or re-saving the Live Photo in the Photos app can resolve the issue. Let me know if you’d like detailed steps!
If the 'Set as Live Wallpaper' option isn’t showing up for you, try these steps: 1- Make sure the wallpaper you’re selecting is a Live Photo, not a still image or regular photo. 2- Check if Live Photos is enabled on your iPhone by going to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper, and selecting from the Live Photos section. 3- If the option still doesn’t appear, restart your iPhone and try again. 4- Ensure your iPhone model supports live wallpapers, as older models may not have this feature.
It sounds like the live photo is getting cut short. You can make it longer by editing the video in CapCut and increasing its speed. By speeding up the video in CapCut, you'll be able to fit more of the motion into the live wallpaper, allowing more of the video to play when you unlock your iPhone. Give it a try and let me know how it works! 😊
@@alkilane Hi! Thanks for trying it out. Let’s see if we can figure this out together. Hi Roger! Thanks for your comment. In the video, I demonstrated the use of two apps-CapCut and IntoLive. Both of these apps can be used for free to create Live Wallpapers, as shown in the tutorial. It's possible you might have encountered optional paid features or subscriptions in the apps, but those aren’t necessary for the steps I explained. To avoid any charges, make sure to skip subscription prompts or look for the free features. If you're still unsure, feel free to share more details, and I’ll gladly guide you! 😊

Thanks for the update! If 'Reduce Motion' is on, it disables motion effects, including Live Wallpapers. Try turning it off in Settings > Accessibility > Motion > Reduce Motion, then set the wallpaper again. Let me know if this resolves it! 😊
Hi! It sounds like the motion feature isn't working as expected. Make sure your iPhone model supports live wallpapers with motion (typically, iPhone 6s and newer models support this feature). Also, check that 'Low Power Mode' is off, as it sometimes restricts certain motion features. Let me know if this helps!
Thanks for sharing your concern! Unfortunately, I don’t have a tutorial for iPad iOS 18 at the moment. However, you might be able to adapt the steps from this video with minor tweaks. Let me know if you need any specific guidance!
Hi @yaNkiS13! 👋 Thank you for your comment! The "Motion not available" issue typically occurs due to a few settings on your iPhone. Here's how to resolve it: Turn off Low Power Mode: Go to Settings > Battery and disable Low Power Mode to ensure the Live Wallpaper can work properly. 📱 Disable Reduce Motion: Check if Reduce Motion is enabled by going to Settings > Accessibility > Motion. Make sure it’s turned off to allow animations to play smoothly. 🎨 Check the Live Photo: Ensure that the photo you're using is actually a Live Photo. You can find this option when selecting the wallpaper, as static images won’t work for the motion effect. 🖼️ Try Setting It Again: If the above steps don’t help, try reapplying your Live Wallpaper by going to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper. After selecting your Live Photo, make sure it’s set as Live and not Still. Hope this helps! Let me know if it works or if you need more assistance. 😊
If you're referring to adding ads, I don’t have ads enabled on this video for now, but I appreciate your feedback! 😊 Let me know if you meant something else, and I’d be happy to assist!
Great question! Yes, it's important to edit the video in CapCut before setting it as a live wallpaper. If you skip this step, the live wallpaper will only show the first few seconds of the video when you turn on your screen, and then it will stop. By speeding up the video in CapCut, the entire video plays through when your screen is on, giving you the full live wallpaper effect. This ensures the wallpaper runs smoothly without cutting off halfway! 😊
Hi! 👋 If intoLive changes your cover photo to a middle frame, try this workaround: Open intoLive and select your desired video or photo. Before creating the live photo, look for an option to set a specific frame as the key photo (not all versions may have this, but update if possible). Alternatively, try trimming the video slightly so that your chosen cover photo is closer to the start, or edit the live photo in the Photos app to make your desired frame the key photo. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have more questions. 😊

Hi! To prevent the lock screen from going into edit mode every time you press and hold it, here’s what you can do: - Avoid Long Pressing on the Lock Screen: Simply swipe up or unlock your phone without holding the screen. - Update Your iOS Version: Sometimes, newer updates refine these features. Ensure your device is running the latest version. Let me know if this helps or if you need further clarification! 😊

The issue seems to be tied to the file format compatibility and how iOS handles Live Photos. iPhones typically work better with native Live Photos in JPEG format because that's the default for photos taken with the device's camera. Here's what you can try:
1. Convert HEIF to JPEG for Live Photos:
Use a reliable converter app to convert the HEIF Live Photos from IntoLive into JPEG format. Then save them directly to your iPhone's Photos app. Apps like Photoshop Express or Converter+ might help.
2. Check File Metadata:
Ensure that the motion metadata is retained after conversion. Sometimes, even a proper format might lose necessary data during the transfer or editing process.
3. Third-Party Apps for Testing:
Test the converted JPEG Live Photos using apps like Live Maker or Live Wallpaper 3D to see if they behave differently.
4. Contact IntoLive Support:
Since you're using IntoLive, it might help to reach out to their support to confirm if they’ve had similar issues with iOS 18.2. They might offer an alternative solution or update their app for better compatibility.
I understand this is frustrating, especially since even resetting settings didn’t work. Let me know if any of these steps improve the situation or if you’d like help exploring more options. 😊
i dont have the option to set as wall paper explenation pls
If you’re missing the “Set as Wallpaper” option, it might be due to your iPhone model or iOS version. Make sure your device supports live wallpapers and check if you’ve enabled the correct settings. If you need detailed help, feel free to share your iPhone model and iOS version.
What link and how I go to it

does it work on iphone 15
Try a few times but photos album have 2 videos and 1 picture. The 2 videos doesn’t have the use as wallpaper feature except for the picture which has stated live with slight movements & can be use. May I know which part I missed out?
Hi there! Thanks for your question! 😊 Here’s a clarification: Live Wallpapers only use slight movements (1-2 seconds) from your video and not the entire video as a wallpaper. To achieve this, follow these steps carefully:
1️⃣ Edit the Video in CapCut:
Trim the video to select the part you want as your Live Wallpaper.
Speed up the selected portion if needed to condense the movements into the first few seconds (about 1-2 seconds).
2️⃣ Convert the Edited Video into a Live Photo Using IntoLive App:
Import the edited video into the IntoLive app.
Convert it into a Live Photo and save it to your gallery.
3️⃣ Set as Live Wallpaper:
Go to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose the newly created Live Photo.
By editing the video properly before conversion, you can ensure that the desired part of the video becomes your Live Wallpaper. Let me know if this works or if you have further questions! 😊
@ Thanks 🙏
i cant do the app does only 1 sec long how do i fix this
How come when I on the phone my wallpaper didn’t move? I already pressed the live button to make it live.
Hi! If your wallpaper isn’t moving even after enabling Live, here are a few things to check:
@ but I have new iOS so when I press and hold, it is edit wallpaper
Thanks for sharing more details! In the new iOS versions, pressing and holding the lock screen brings up the "Edit Wallpaper" mode instead of activating the live animation. This change is part of Apple's new customization options.
To preview the live animation:
Open the Photos app.
Select your live photo, then press and hold to see the animation.
Unfortunately, the live motion feature no longer works directly on the lock screen in newer iOS updates. Let me know if you need more help! 😊
@@TechSpecsInfo aw man
Can you help me where the frame bar on capcut is?
Hi! 😊 In CapCut, once you've added your video, look for the frame bar line directly below the video preview. This bar shows your video’s timeline, where you can click and scroll to different points for editing. Tap on the timeline to select specific frames and add effects or trim parts by dragging along this bar. Let me know if you need any more help!
does this work on iphone 16? i tried it but for some reason the live photo doesn’t work and it freezes
Give me the video download link
Hi! Unfortunately, I can't provide download links, but you can use RUclips's offline feature or trusted tools to save videos. Let me know if you need help with that!
I done it right but it only play 2 seconds of my clip? But its supposed to be 8sec long
This could happen because live wallpapers on iPhones have a time limit of a few seconds, even if your clip is longer. To use the full 8 seconds, try trimming your video within this limit or converting it into a compatible live photo using apps like “intoLive.” Let me know if you’d like a step-by-step guide!
I hope for speedy answer
Thank you for your patience! Let me know if you have any specific questions. Happy to help!
Capcut not available
Hi there! 😊 If CapCut isn’t available in your region, you can use alternative video editing apps like InShot or VN Editor to edit your video before converting it into a Live Photo. Let me know if you'd like recommendations for apps!
I followed the directions but when i select add new wallpaper, the video is not showing up in my photos/live photos etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have an iphone 16 pro
Hi @tedgri9936! Thank you for reaching out. It seems like the video might not have been saved correctly to your Live Photos album. Here are a few suggestions to fix the issue:
1️⃣ Check the Save Location: Ensure the video you want to use has been saved as a Live Photo in your Photos app.
Thanks again for watching the video, and I hope you’re able to set up your Live Wallpaper soon. 👍
motion not available
motion from this live photo is not supported as a wallpaper
device:iphone 13
edit:tried using gif but there is no motion option
Hi! This issue happens when:
1- The live photo or GIF isn’t compatible with the live wallpaper feature.
2- The "Motion" option is unsupported on your device or disabled in settings.
Here’s how to troubleshoot:
-Use apps like IntoLive to convert GIFs into proper live photos supported by iOS.
@ is it worth updating 18.2? Since it maybe a bug ?
It might be worth updating to iOS 18.2, especially if the current version has any bugs affecting the Live Wallpaper feature. Updates often fix glitches and improve performance. However, before updating, check online reviews or Apple's update notes to confirm if the issue you're experiencing has been resolved in the new version. Let me know if you try it out! 😊

I mean it works, but, it’s not on loop and it’s slower.. I followed all the steps and tried it 3 times lol.
I did it but it looks so laggy and shit
Does not work on iPhone 15 with iOS 18
Mine won't work 😭
The Setup as live wallpaper doesn't show up for me
If the 'Set as Live Wallpaper' option isn’t showing up for you, try these steps:
1- Make sure the wallpaper you’re selecting is a Live Photo, not a still image or regular photo.
2- Check if Live Photos is enabled on your iPhone by going to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper, and selecting from the Live Photos section.
3- If the option still doesn’t appear, restart your iPhone and try again.
4- Ensure your iPhone model supports live wallpapers, as older models may not have this feature.
ok ty
It still doesn’t work 😭😭
It says motion not available and it also makes the live photo only 2 seconds long can I make it longer?
It sounds like the live photo is getting cut short. You can make it longer by editing the video in CapCut and increasing its speed. By speeding up the video in CapCut, you'll be able to fit more of the motion into the live wallpaper, allowing more of the video to play when you unlock your iPhone. Give it a try and let me know how it works! 😊
did what you said exactly but it didnt work
@@alkilane Hi! Thanks for trying it out. Let’s see if we can figure this out together. Did you make sure the live wallpaper was enabled in your settings, and are you pressing and holding the screen to activate it? Some older iPhone models don’t support live wallpapers, so that could also be the issue. Let me know your iPhone model, and I’ll do my best to help!
Did exactly what you said and nearly got charged lots for subscription
This doesn't work motion is not available
Hi! If 'Motion' isn't available, it could be due to your device model or settings. Ensure your iPhone supports Live Wallpapers and that 'Reduce Motion' in Accessibility settings is off. Let me know if you need more help!
@ reduce motion settings is on
Thanks for the update! If 'Reduce Motion' is on, it disables motion effects, including Live Wallpapers. Try turning it off in Settings > Accessibility > Motion > Reduce Motion, then set the wallpaper again. Let me know if this resolves it! 😊

this motion not use for live wallpaper

Motion not aviable
Hi @yaNkiS13! 👋
Thank you for your comment! The "Motion not available" issue typically occurs due to a few settings on your iPhone. Here's how to resolve it:
Turn off Low Power Mode: Go to Settings > Battery and disable Low Power Mode to ensure the Live Wallpaper can work properly. 📱
Disable Reduce Motion: Check if Reduce Motion is enabled by going to Settings > Accessibility > Motion. Make sure it’s turned off to allow animations to play smoothly. 🎨
Check the Live Photo: Ensure that the photo you're using is actually a Live Photo. You can find this option when selecting the wallpaper, as static images won’t work for the motion effect. 🖼️
Try Setting It Again: If the above steps don’t help, try reapplying your Live Wallpaper by going to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper. After selecting your Live Photo, make sure it’s set as Live and not Still.
Hope this helps! Let me know if it works or if you need more assistance. 😊
Ad do fir
If you're referring to adding ads, I don’t have ads enabled on this video for now, but I appreciate your feedback! 😊 Let me know if you meant something else, and I’d be happy to assist!
it is neccesary to edit in capcut ? can i skip to the next step ?
Great question! Yes, it's important to edit the video in CapCut before setting it as a live wallpaper. If you skip this step, the live wallpaper will only show the first few seconds of the video when you turn on your screen, and then it will stop. By speeding up the video in CapCut, the entire video plays through when your screen is on, giving you the full live wallpaper effect. This ensures the wallpaper runs smoothly without cutting off halfway! 😊
How to fixed the cover photo….when I saved it by intolive the cover photo changed to middle picture….can’t select cover photo from the first
Hi! 👋 If intoLive changes your cover photo to a middle frame, try this workaround:
Open intoLive and select your desired video or photo.

How can i remove the lock-screen wallpaper edit i dont want go to choose wallpaper everytime i press on my lock screen for 1 sec
Hi! To prevent the lock screen from going into edit mode every time you press and hold it, here’s what you can do:
- Avoid Long Pressing on the Lock Screen: Simply swipe up or unlock your phone without holding the screen.
- Update Your iOS Version: Sometimes, newer updates refine these features. Ensure your device is running the latest version.
