This played at my grandfather's funeral, I never really knew the guy that well, but he told me stories all the time, I really wish I had spent more time with him before he passed away. If any younger people are reading this, please don't make the same mistake as me, cherish the time you have with your relatives, you'll never know when you're about to have your last meal with them.
Tomorrow is not a guarantee. I too wish I spoke to my grandmother about things that matter. About our family history and our other relatives who passed on before my time. I was 19 when she passed away. At that age you’re all about your friends. You don’t think about things like that. It’s not a reality and it’s not important to a teenager. In your 20s you’re too busy trying to make your way. Getting out of your parents house, your career job, relationships and how to be a responsible, independent adult. In your 30s, you’re busy all the time. You may be working a full-time job, raising kids, you’re a cook, housecleaner, driver, teacher, spouse and friend. While still being a daughter or son. Pulled in all different directions each and every day. In your 40s you may find yourself with some time on your hands. However you look around and family members are gone.
The last thing I ever said to my grandma was “ see ya” after she dropped off my baby sister at our house after school. She died in her sleep that night. I heard about it the next morning. Though it was gonna be a normal school day, until I heard my mom wailing from down the hall. I asked her what was wrong, and she said through tears “maw-maw died..” most chaotic morning of my life. This all happened about 2 months ago..
I work as a therapist at an insane asylum. Some guy was laughing like crazy. I asked him what was so funny and he said he was thinking of a joke. I asked him if he cared to tell me and he said I wouldn’t get it. And then he quoted a line from this song. That’s the last thing I remember before blacking out and waking up here. I don’t know where I am, but there babies dressed Angel outfits throwing glitter on me…
After i found out this girl didnt like me and she started to ignore and avoid me. I thought of this song and listened it to for hours. Laughing crying smiling and in pain 🤣

I feel like in my life there’s a lot of people who don’t believe in me, think I’m not good enough. I really imagine this playing one day, when I had finally succeeded at life and I’m happy, while all the people who didn’t believe me sit in shock and dismay that I even got this far, farther than them. Imma do it one day. Idk when, but I’ll get there. Hey.. that’s life :) sweet, sweet revenge of victory
Frank Sinatra, while his music is connected to memories of an ex who almost literally destroyed me...his music still makes me happy as can be. I'm probably one of the few high school seniors who would gladly sing and dance and just all around enjoy his music

That's life (That's life) That's what all the people say You're riding high in April, shot down in May But I know I'm gonna change that tune When I'm back on top, back on top in June I said that's life (That's life) And as funny as it may seem Some people get their kicks Stomping on a dream But I don't let it, let it get me down Cause this fine old world, it keeps spinnin' around I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet A pawn and a king I've been up and down and over and out And I know one thing Each time I find myself Flat on my face I pick myself up and get Back in the race That's life (That's life) I tell you, I can't deny it I thought of quitting, baby But my heart just ain't gonna buy it And if I didn't think it was worth one single try I'd jump right on a big bird and then I'd fly I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet A pawn and a king I've been up and down and over and out And I know one thing Each time I find myself layin' Flat on my face I just pick myself up and get Back in the race That's life (That's life) That's life and I can't deny it Many times I thought of cutting out but my heart won't buy it But if there's nothing shaking come this here July I'm gonna roll myself up In a big ball and die My, myself
As the final species are dying, deep under water, caverns and in the structures built by humans to keep eachother alive from the still worsening and now deathly toxic atmosphere. From the last radio tower a man says crying softly "this goes out to the poor souls who couldn't keep on trying, I know you're gone now, but you all did a great job, let's just hope there isn't an afterlife". By the last significant life form in the known universe, this song plays for there is no doubt unto the dead, they already had their chance, now the song fading and ending as the local power supplies powers down, a single gun shot blares from the tower, with a tear laden smile the technician, the strongest man, the smartest man, the last man, is now a part of his lost planet
I heard this song today in Joker and knew all the words by heart. I was so confused why all the lyrics came so easily. Then I had this vague memory of ‘performing’ this song for pop pop when he was dying. I would wear his old school fedora and dance around with his cane singing the with lyrics with so much fervor to make him smile. Strange moment to stumble into 20 years later
This semester has kicked my ass. From health problems to housing problems, and transportation problems. I’m just glad to be alive tbh. Lol just learned I’m not my gpa
I’m here because I lived with my great grandparents.for five years. There was a AM dial station 650 sea isle, Vancouver island that played nothing but oldies. They took me in when I was just a punk kid, and even thou I hated it at first, it slowly grew on me. That was the ONLY station they ever listened to, and looking back, I miss those days. Truth-you don’t know to appreciate a good thing when it staring you in the face.
"Many times I thought of cuttin' out but my heart won't buy it" I've been there and it's very reassuring a man like this has been there too. We can all pick ourselves up somehow
Brings back precious memories my dad had a friend living in Tijuana Mexico he learned Frank Sinatra I remember as a kid when this song i’m out 1965 he would put this on his stereo his kids would get mad they would say put on the Beatles album LOL
Listening to this thinking I could have died yesterday when I was in my car with my girlfriend parking at late night somewhere in the dark and got surrounded by 3 criminals with a mace chain and sledge hammer and machete and they broked the left window and glasses spreading to my girlfriends face and body as she was screaming but couldn't take us out as I pushed the gas pedal and we manged to escape and saved our both lives..
This song always ends up motivating me whenever I have lost every single bit of hope.. Salute to Frank Sinatra.

Toda vez que me encontro derrotado no chão
Eu sacudo a poeira e volto pra corrida
Toda vez que me encontro derrotado no chão
Eu sacudo a poeira e volto pra corrida

I said that's life

And as funny as it may seem
Some people get their kicks
Stomping on a dream
But I don't let it, let it get me down
Cause this fine old world, it keeps spinnin' around
I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet
A pawn and a king
I've been up and down and over and out
And I know one thing
Each time I find myself
Flat on my face
I pick myself up and get
Back in the race
That's life
(That's life)
I tell you, I can't deny it
I thought of quitting, baby
But my heart just ain't gonna buy it
And if I didn't think it was worth one single try
I'd jump right on a big bird and then I'd fly
I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet
A pawn and a king
I've been up and down and over and out
And I know one thing
Each time I find myself layin'
Flat on my face
I just pick myself up and get
Back in the race
That's life

That's life and I can't deny it
Many times I thought of cutting out but my heart won't buy it
But if there's nothing shaking come this here July
I'm gonna roll myself up
In a big ball and die
My, myself
The "I pick myself up and get back in the race" really motivated me to keep livin
1:04 reminds me of shifting it u know what that is.
Today is June 1st and I'm not back on top, please help
“I used to think the my life was a tragedy but now I realize, it’s a fucking comedy.”
JOHN 3:16
FOR GOD SO LOVE THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE
"You wouldn't get it"
Everyone gangsta till the quiet kid starts to sing this
As the final species are dying, deep under water, caverns and in the structures built by humans to keep eachother alive from the still worsening and now deathly toxic atmosphere.
That wasn't depressing at all ...
Profundas palabras Man
That´s Life!!
I love my grandparents as well. I was rather an asshole as a younger individual. I'm going to miss them in the future.
this gives me Joker’s vibes
To the Joker, Little Ceasars Crazy Bread is just regular bread

"Many times I thought of cuttin' out but my heart won't buy it" I've been there and it's very reassuring a man like this has been there too. We can all pick ourselves up somehow

Hard times have befallen the soul survivors. We all "get old." We all "fail." It's what you do with the time you have left.THAT'S life.

Listening to this thinking I could have died yesterday when I was in my car with my girlfriend parking at late night somewhere in the dark and got surrounded by 3 criminals with a mace chain and sledge hammer and machete and they broked the left window and glasses spreading to my girlfriends face and body as she was screaming but couldn't take us out as I pushed the gas pedal and we manged to escape and saved our both lives..
you wouldn't get it
😂😂 joker
"and if I didn't think it was worth one single try, I'd jump right on a big bird and then I'd fly" literally makes me break down every time I hear it
