That's awesome to hear that he seems very humble, but aren't most Filipinos already very humble and down-to-earth :)))) compared to Vietnamese people (myself)? I only make this assumption because on my Filipino reaction videos, the like to dislike ratio is MUCH higher than the Vietnamese ones LOL (and my Filipino roommate is also humble/DTE :))
FYI, that band is a powerhouse. All of them are distinguished musicians in the PH's professional scene, I was there that night, as a drummer and a musician for 17 years, I still cannot fathom how these people achieve this level of musicality. They're just too good.
sir thank you so much for the watch and this cool comment, were you sitting pretty close to the front of that stage? Do you think there was 1000+ people there? I wonder if they rarely record these with proper audio and front of stage camera for video...
@@DrumRoast There are videos of KZ Tandingan with professional live recording. That event was (if I remember correctly) a festival in Bacolod city a couple of years back, I was somewhere in the left side, drunk lol. This drum part was originally crafted by the legendary Filipino drummer Harley Alarcon of the P.O.T. band. Rickson added his unique touch to it impressively, but the original drum parts were already a formidable challenge to play.

Rickson Ruiz is one of the "premiere" drummers in the PH. Playing for most of the big artists here in the PH and is not being credited enough. bro thank you so much for the watch and rec! I added that video of Vic to my list a while back, I am now official buried in 50+ videos to react to from passionate subscribers, I LOVE it and hope to get to it at some point!!! Glad you're enjoying your trip in Vietnam so far, you should see some live music over there if possible...they usually have Filipino cover bands play at their bars over there in the South...also cool Ukulele and bass covers on your channel :)))))
@@DrumRoast No worries bro. I'm subscribing to your channel, in that way I won't miss out on some of your contents especially the ones we've recommended. It'll definitely be worth the wait. So far, so good and I'll be staying here in Vietnam for a while. I've already met and talked to one of the Filipino cover bands a while back when in South at Bui Vien Street, truly enjoyed the vibes there. Now I'm currently freezing here in North. lol. Thank you bro, very much appreciated. Will most probably be uploading more when I get the chance to practice.
