One thing I learned from making this is it's usually at least two players that have some fault when things go wrong. You can always play better for your team, and if it goes south a smart player will take some of the blame.
The irony of this video is I am kinda toxic too by making fun of these people 😂 Let me know if you want me to make more and I'll do it next month too.

Tj C I’ll never forget there was this one teammate I had who was ball-chasing and missing easy goals in a doubles match. Because he was ball chasing so much he ended up having a higher score than me at the end of the match on the scoreboard (which he obviously used to his defense). I ended up queuing with him the next game as an opponent. This new teammate was already communicating with me and we began destroying the toxic ex teammate. I wasn’t bombarding him with anything crazy. However when I scored I kept saying “Oops!” Or “No Problem”. Until we were about 2 goals up. It was a 1 on 1 situation because his teammate and mine committed to a ball and pinched it near the toxic guys net. So I went to challenge and he was goalie, I drove so fast into the ball and braked the last second, I faked him and he went flying. After I faked and scored I unleashed the “What a Save!” He quit right away and man I had the biggest smile on my face😂 haha be safe everyone!

Not needed. As a new player with under 100 games played, bronze 3 pushing silver 1, I’ve learned to be toxic right back by an infinite magnitude. The amount of “trash” insults that get thrown around in the lowest rank is unbelievable lmao. It’s similar to benchwarmers of any sport shit talking each other.

Technically is a decent tip but if thats the only tip then well you know.
A tip though is to cooperate and study your teammates. Im in Silver, so I know my breed is of the either very aggro ballchasy type or of the passive inside the net type. I try to adjust in the 5-10 minutes of the game I have with them and make the best with it. In this way, if they blame me for being bad, at least I tried.

Last night I was playing doubles with 3 guys, we kept playing for hours, everyone was nice if someone missed a shot, supporting each other and everything. Those are the kind of people that make this game enjoyable

Just an observation from a fan... That car color makes it hard to quickly understand what team you're on and with the quick cutting between games a more standard car color would help us understand what's about to happen. I had to jump back a few times to make sense haha. Love it keep it up!
Since this was recorded live and not a replay, ignore the car colors, and look what color the left side of the scoreboard is.
The simplest way apart from looking at scoreboard would be if he set the boost indicator to team colour

@@hunterm2910 Sucks in Overwatch too. Some dumbass leaves a game, and it's 90% of the time an automatic loss, they will lose 50mmr whereas the rest of us will lose our standard MMR.
Rocket League should make people who leave mid game (without FF) lose WAY more MMR than they would by losing, not just a 5 minute ban.
They honestly need something like this. Like, every second before 1 minute, you lose 1 mmr rating. Leave at 1:00, lose standard 7~ mmr, leave at 4:00, lose 7~ + 180. You pressed the join button, you qued, learn how to come back in a down situation. Let those who tough out a loss indirectly win, they are the real ones learning. You learn how to change your playstyle, account and counterattack how the other or 2 players are playing. Like we scored off a kickoff goal, everyone eventually does, but the amount of RL players that quit when it's 10 seconds in, what the hell am I supposed to do with a bot and 4:50 left on the clock? Sorry he got a better touch than me, but guess what, my scoreboard says I'm down one as well. It happens.

I had a super toxic teammate one day. Two games in a row we were on the same team. I didn't say anything in response to what he said. Third game, we're playing against each other, and he got smoked. I was not only scoring, but also making saves. I can just picture him steaming from the ears, as I score my 5th goal. Of course, he blamed his new teammate too.
I had a rumble GC think he was all this and that when u played with him and his friend who were partied up. We lost the first game, because I was playing horrible, but still doing good. Last save I had to make, was one of those that bounce off the crossbar and in, and me rotating, got bumped into place, with no boost. Let's just say, the ball went in. And in the next game, I was against him and his friend. First thing they say "ez game", my team was a slow rotating team, apparently a diamond 1 got matched with 2 champ 1s but I didnt know that. We were getting bombarded with shots, I had 5 saves in less than a minute. The champ 1 in my team left, I was the other champ 1. And the opponents spam "what a save", their teammate who wasnt partied with them scored an own goal and then proceeded to do passing plays with me to score on them. And it worked, the GC and his friend were mad, and messaged me on ps4 to 1v1 them. That was toxicity at its finest
One time i guess i was smurfin in silver two (Im gold 3) and we get scored on cuz I'm out of the play. (Im on console, This is important for later) My teamate decided to quit because I apparently was not rotating. (I was rotating somewhat he wasn't rotating) When he stopped the score was 2 to 1 us. So now it was a 2v1 and I absolutely annihilated the other team. It was around 5 1 when the game ended. Of course, my teammate was still trash talking. So the game ended, and I qued for another game. So I was in the loading screen too my new game when the guy MESSAGED me saying I was ballchasing. He also said that I was trash and should be in bronze xD. Now I'm in gold 2 in standard.

The night :/ situation was one of my favorite in rocket leagues. Love when that happens, it’s such a reality check for impatient and unhappy players. I think people easily forget how much fun this game is, and how simple the concept is. I understand people pump hours on hours into getting their skill, but never forget. This game is a blast, have fun with it. Losing rank is frustrating, I get it. But remember. There’s always more games in the future it’s not the end of the world :)
P Raymond I can’t get out of it man lol, I’m not that good. I’m also plat 1, unfortunately I can’t vibe with anyone good enough as a teammate to o get out of it. I’m probably the issue, but people stay on my ass all game without rotation or don’t really read the plays and it’s a hard rank to break. Probably just need more time in training to break the mechanical skill I’m stuck at. I kind of have to assume an extreme defensive role to play with a lot of people because the push with me, 3 ft away and it’s hard to maintain an equal score if a team double commits. I’ve been getting frustrated but I know there’s something I could do different I suppose.

I almost uninstalled RL because of the toxicity, *here’s a tip!* :
Turn all chat off in settings, but go into BakkesMod and use the “switch to team quick chat only during kickoffs” option. It turns on team quick chat JUST for the kickoff, then turns it off afterward, letting you ignore all the toxicity while still knowing who’s going for kick off! Perfect balance of peace and competitive. Any other tips?

When you get to higher ranks too, the general rule is left always goes, and thats how it is in about 90% of my games too. But there is that 10% that just cant get on the same page...but my point is, is that when you get up there assuming left is going will help you if you don't wanna install bakkesmod
After about 4000hours in the game, i learned one tging, just ignore it. Even if u got chat turned off, they will find a way to let you know that they are mad. Just try to make fun about their pitiful attempt to trashtalk. Ofc only in your head, lmao

C Mac I can’t speak for champ or GC but diamond 3 is the most toxic rank I have ever played in. Every time I queue I’m just waiting for my teammates to talk trash to the whole lobby. And obviously it’s never their fault only everyone else’s.
Even plat 2 is really toxic, make one mistake and you’re getting heck for it

I was THIS toxic a**hole every match after a while. But once upon a time I love RL, and this video brought that love back. Seeing my toxic behavior in others showed me how much I was hurting my teammates, I myself being not perfect. Now, I am positive. When we give up a goal on a clear mistake by someone I type "It's ok", and if we are up and give up a goal I will type something to be funny like "Buy the dip" or "Sub to Pewdiepie". My rank with random players has improved greatly and so has my play. Thank you so much for this!

In many cases its just a way to let out the frustration after grinding so many hours, playing so many games where you can easily feel the disadvantage factor after every play, every soft shot, every bad save, friendly bumps, bad rotation, ball chasing, etc. from a teammate that should be playing better according to the rank. But yeah sometimes are just insecure assholes

I had a guy leave when we were winning the game, because I didn't get one of his passes. A pass that he bumped me out of the way to make, so of course I wasn't there. He knocked me to the other side of the field.
I always just assume that those people are on a bad losing streak and are at the end of their rope. They have in their heads that unless that game goes perfect they aren't gonna waste their time. I always think that if that's the attitude you bring into the game maybe you should stop and take a break for the day.
@@STARPHASE My teammates They tried to surrender since we were 0 2 losing, and when it was 10 seconds to finish the game the two together surrendered and we were tied 2 to 2 I made the winning goal missing 2 seconds and immediately accept the surrender that THEY sent. the satisfaction I felt at last accepting the surrender that they spammed it was a better prize than winning that toxic game lmao

What I’ve learned is that even if you’re not toxic, someone will always bring the toxicity. I also learned that starting the match with “what a save” and being as toxic as possible makes people play at their best and makes the games more intense and enjoyable. (Most of the time)
Usually if someone in my game is being toxic i just hit them with the "yes."
I always just said Okay. 80% of the time it loops like

I decided to solo queue a 2s game in _Gold II_ (biggest mistake of my life)
This guy really had the balls to go for EVERY ball and not take the blame.
Each time he missed, he said "Okay."
It was then 1 - 0 (4:32 left)
He voted to FF.
Soon after, (4:16 left)
The opponents were about to score.
He proceeded to abandon match.
They missed the net.
I decided to 1v2 the rest of the match (as I was grinding from Gold III, and Gold II can't be _that_ hard)
It turns out, they suck ass.
I beat them 3-1.
One of them was a Bronze II.

I am pretty average at the game (I'm a Gold 2 player who still has a LOT to learn!) but you are so right about how toxic some players can be. It's refreshing when I play with positive, encouraging teammates who would rather lift your spirits rather than crush them. This game is hilariously overridden with an extreme amount of toxicity. Next try to do a video where you record recovered wholesomeness from toxicity. I've had a fair share of conversation after game talking to people when their teammate leaves, and they lost miserably because of the quitting tm8 that was garbage, and the one who didn't quit tried their best. The conversations usually go to "you tried your best, be proud of that, you may be mad, just take a breather, drink some water, come back after 5 minutes and keep trying your best." I've adopted that mentality, I feel like I've gotten better from it.

@@FildaV0le only thing that makes this game so toxic is the anonymity of the fact voice comms are so trash: therefore everyone reverts back to oldschool trash talking like in OSRS etc, where the worst vocabulary will equate to the biggest insult. Honestly most of the toxicity in RL is so weak due to that fact. The chances are you're being insulted by a 12 year old that has been given 2 hours to play the game lmao
