I test rode the other 2020 frames and all that M8 power is nice, but they’re so smooth and technologically integrated, they feel more like BMWs to me. But when You ride that Evo engine (with some pipes), that little boy Harley excitement comes out every time.
I've just put a deposit down on one of these from 2020 2nd hand, I'm so excited! Been riding a Honda Grom up till now, so looking forward to moving up to the next bike size, definitely gonna be upgrading the exhaust though!
That Iron 1200 is a nice looking bike. I keep thinking I need a lighter bike from my Road King. Dynas are what I had in the past but maybe even lighter is what I need now.
Add to the collection never subtract. I have kicked my ass for trading my 1994 883 deluxe. If you like traditional handling an 883 or 1200 iron have it. To have a nice casual ride I take my FLHS, but for a blast, the 1200 is the ticket.
I wish HD would put some effort into the Sportster, 4 valves heads and a 6 speed transmission would breathe more life into their sales. Tall risers and a quarter fairing and the Roadster would outsell their other bikes. Just my opinion though. I love Sportsters and consider building a high speed sport touring version often.
I totally agree, I have a 2014 sporty and absolutely love it. Next step is suspension and 1275. Best bike is a paid for bike. That's my Sportster...lol

6foot2 myself and I just grabbed one pushing the handle bars forward a lil for comfort but I like the feel of it so far. Oh and it's my first motorcycle/Harley ever @ the age of 35 😎

My wife wants to 2up with me , so I'm thinking with 2 people, the 1200 would be better, plus she likes the mini apes, she calls them "the bars". Just passed my MSF course this passed Labor Day and I'm saving up, so yeah can't wait to get a sportster. I'm 5'4" 160ish lbs. My wife is the same height and almost the same weight, so ... tell me what you think I should get just to cruise around town her in Brenham,TX and the country roads. Thanks. Oh btw, my dad was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.

The Sportster and the low lean angles definitely developed my riding style and reading Lee Parks taught me to shift bodyweight. Agree with so much you say especially re: suspension on the sporty- such a necessary upgrade to do even before stage 1 imho. Do you think the current trend in blacked out iron 883 style bikes will flip towards color? I would love a 2021 Low Rider S in vibrant colors sort of like jonsMotoGarage’s purple color Dyna.
So gotta ask..if you believe the Sportys are going away, why put the effort to review this Iron? Or maybe they’re just getting a new engine and sticking around..spill the beans please..haha
You can’t take long trips comfortably no wind fairing, small tank too many fill ups on long trips. Harleys too expensive you have to spend 20 grand for a nice tourer.

I feel like these bikes shoulda had forward controls as standard. The mids seem awkward, especially with the mini apes.
