That takes some dedication to sit there and count all those! I don't think I would have the patience to sit there for 2 hours trying to find them all. Great job.
If you are thinking about raising your own worms... What are you waiting for? You can feed them your food scraps, junk mail, and cardboard to reduce the amount of trash going into a landfill.
Kudos on the counting. That is a painful task I know all too well! Thanks for the shoutout. Always appreciate your support and I love your channel! Can’t wait to follow the new bigger bin!
Thanks! It definitely took a lot longer than I thought it would but it was worth it to know how many there are. I guess I'll have to try it with the ANCs next. Thanks for watching and commenting!
It's neat knowing how many there are but it took me a lot longer than I thought it would (almost 2 hours).. I might have missed some tiny ones but I went through it pretty well. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Woo Hoo over 500+ wow. I know i have 360, UWB and a 10 gallon going and all my paper and food scraps go to them. I also have 2 compost bins outside for yard/ chicken waste. It feel good to do our little part plus all the castings for my gardens. Hey great job and your right Emily has the best worms. 😄
Thanks! I wish I would have started sooner but better late than never. I can't wait to use my castings in the spring to see how much better (hopefully) my garden does. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@waynetadlock9719 I'm ready to try it. I've seen a lot of people using them and making tea. Me and a few other guys have a big tomatoe competition and I hope it will give me an edge. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Haha thanks. I use Windows Movie Maker for now. I would like to get an editor that I can do picture in picture, split screen, and whatever else that would make better videos. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I recently started a bin out of 50 red wrigglers. When I got them,, they look small and anorexic lol.. They are starting to become big and healthy. Any tips about mold growing in the bin ?
I think they look fatter and healthier than the ones that I got the cocoons from for sure. I used the coir that came with the WF360. Since I couldn't find any locally I bought peat moss. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I mix my red wrigglers with all types of crap haha.. Cardboard, paper, newspaper, dead leaves(from my yard), top soil, sand, gardening soil, toilet paper. Than I feed them every other day or so food like banana, lettuce etc
Hi great video and lots of patience. Your worms look nice and healthy they are at an age now where they will start producing cocoons now it will boom if you have the time count them again after about 60 days an see the difference in numbers. Iam from South Africa and I am in need of African night crawlers either worms or cocoons. If anyone can maybe help me with contact details.

did anyone else realize how edible that "bad banana" was

@Tam Tabska thank you. Yes it is.
You are the most patient human I’ve ever known. 😯
Well it took a lot longer than I expected but I wanted to know for sure how many were there.

Almost two babies per cocoon. Nice. I may count mine just to see what I have with my original 75 cocoons.

@@GrantMcIntosh I hadn't gardened in years. Started in again last year. I am impressed with what difference the castings made!

I have one bin that has extra large cocoons and tiny ones also. Did you ever run into this?
.
@@Laserwurks occasionally. I assume it's the difference in sizes of worms.
Wow that's crazy awesome... u got me wanting to give it a try...

Great video. Very interesting. Support.
Thank you! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Now come up with names for each.
Awesome!! Nice and wormy!!!
Thanks for the support!
Where do you buy just cocoons?
What species are you wanting?
Your count was off- I counted 593- I put the video on slow motion and replayed it to make sure-but it was definitely 593.
Very cool, thank you.

Awsome video

Main thing is to stir/mix it up to get some air moving. Mold isn't a bad thing in a worm bin. Just don't want to get out of control.
@@GrantMcIntosh thanks for quick and awesome response.
I just wanna ask what you do with those worms? Do you keep them as pet?
I use them for fishing
Yours look so much fatter and healthier than mine. My medium thus far has been compost, a little paper and coca choir.

Dude how you been how’s the worms
They're doing good. I'm still dealing with some stuff. Thanks for asking!
592?? I counted 596!! LOL!!!
Haha, I might have missed a few 😆
What food items did you feed the newborn reds?
Same as the mature worms.
Wow!! Amazing

a friend is a good job, I grow a worm in Russia a little differently, Like and subscribe
Do you sell red wigglers and how much
I don't. I wish I had the room to breed and sale.
Dang lol I could never sit there and count them. I guess 1:2 is an accurate ratio though. haha
I think you miscount them. You should start from the beginning.......
