Hi, good review. I have a Gloster too. Been close to a year and generally I am quite happy with the car. You mentioned about the static noise coming from the Infotainment system when connected to phone. I had the same problem and I totally agree for a premium car it’s very annoying. But this problem was fixed with a major software update for me about 6 months back. Now I have no issues. Pls check with the service centre for the update.

Thank you providing the detailed review. 1 Question: Gloster has a cloth like sunroof (below the glass), unlike other sunroof cars where we get a stiff material which slides to the back. Is the cloth like sunroof practical enough? Will the sunlight penetrate in summer and heat up the car?
The concept of twin turbo 2.0l diesel is really cool. But those turbo lags take away the fun. Hope MG can just figure out ways to reduce turbo lag. 0-100 too is not impressive. Even a 2l single turbo endeavor performs better. But actually loved the car.
Hey! I also own a MG Gloster. I also used to have the same issue with the sound. I got it checked and initially they were not able to fix it. But then they called some engineer guy from MG India and they rebooted my system and did a few things with the software and it got completely fixed. It happened me for the first month I bought the car, and I’m now been using it for a year and never has that problem troubled me again.
Top end model, 5 months, 3.2K kms, its a great car so far, infotainment system touch sensitivity is an issue, ADAS not much usable in practical conditions, could used automatic parking only 2 times, adaptive cruze is not much useful, Emergency braking is most usable so far it prevented bumper to bumper collisions at low speed for about 3-4 times, driver fatigue warning got triggered for about 2 times, it catches your sleepy behaviour while driving accurately. Overall great experience with this car, thanks for your reviews in past, it helped in selecting this car

Nice review, thinking of buying an SUV, shifting from Audi A4 and am pretty disappointed with repeated issues in German cars. Considering Gloster seriously over others but a big no for fortuner. Waiting for new Endeavor.
Hi Completed this week, one year of Gloster ownership myself !! The sound distortion issue on Apple CarPlay is rectified in my car in June 2021. Initially I too faced it a lot and it was very annoying. R17 / R13 is the name probably of the patch update which needs to be done. I got mine done at MG Concept Ahmedabad. I think the service centre at your location had mixed up or not installed it correctly. You may ask them to get in touch with Plant at Vadodara or speak to Mr. Dhiren Jani at MG Service Ahmedabad. I can vouch for the fact that CarPlay voice distortion is sorted now in my car. But personally I found the car in-built multimedia system connected with phone through Bluetooth being more user friendly and safe while driving as it becomes very easier to handle calls while driving, plus the cabin feel is very neat and tidy inside, otherwise as front box needs to be in always open position to use CarPlay for connecting with mobile. For music related needs Gaana does more than enough with vast song catalogue, shows and podcasts. Another peculiar thing I noted is the sound quality of music, which is far far superior while playing online music on Gaana compared to CarPlay, Bluetooth or USB. I keep equalizer settings to reset and the music from 12 speaker system is absolutely mind blowing and many times made my drives memorable. Hope your CarPlay problem gets solved soon :) cheers man.. love your ‘VLogs’ :) and have watched all of them. Infact got introduced to your content last year while browsing for reviews of Gloster. Twin Turbo Gloster engine is mated with ZF sourced gearbox which is the same as found in the likes of BMW X5 comparison to engine tunings of the likes of BMW, Gloster there is a slight turbo lag at low end of 2000 RPM, but once the 2000 RPM mark is breached the torque generation is that of a beast!!! It’s at this low-rung torque levels many people are confusing the performance of the car in comparison to Fortuner’s archaic engine tunings which offers a low rung RPM rush, But at 4000 RPM Gloster’s Torque still hold’s up whereas Fortuner’s get bottomed out!! Right driving modes selection and with some driving practice Gloster is a far far better car to drive in its segment today.
I truly wish that you put English subs on the video, or make a new one in English. I am interested in buying one and you are the only one who is actually driving and reviewing this car.
ANDROID AUTO and Car Play issue in Sharp variants got Fixed in a number of Glosters after they replaced a part which costs around 1.5 lakh under warranty and now it works like charm. Contact your dealership and get them to change it. In case anyone else is facing similar issue you know to do.

Really enjoyed not only this review, but also all the other ones you've put out on the Gloster. I have just taken delivery of mine, and guess what - I too have the same sound issue thru Android Auto. If I stream thru Bluetooth though, there is no issue. From reading other comments it sounds like I should get this addressed at my first service. Thanks again! BTW, do you know if there is any setting where the Bluetooth connects automatically when you get into the car rather than having to manually select Bluetooth? I have a Hector too and that connects automatically.
In 7 months we did 17K in Gloster Top end model…No problems at all its too good❤️…Especially when I visit the service centre the treatment they give makes me feel great…Overall best experience with MG GLOSTER

Sirji aap ka review dekh kar I bought it in Feb 2021. Till date have done 20k with it. Single day drive of 1k done 3 to 4 times and the comfort level is just the best. I would like to add that wireless charging can be improved. Second row ac is a boon with kids.

Don't even think of purchasing the car of MG motors. I have one,Gloster, I am regretting. Full waste of money. At the time of purchase they will give such big promises but after nothing remains. Looks like your infotenment system has hardware issue rather software. I have being using the vehicle for 4 months no such issues. And thanks for your video, it helped taking decision. ADAS is not very accurate and useful, especially reading signboards.
We also have a new 3 weeks mg gloste savvy but we are happy its infotainment system. Our music is very good we don't have problem like you and camera is very good

No cost at all for service. Labour cost plus oil change is free for three years. For spares cost coverage MG Shield plan is sufficient. Body roll is not there as design is balanced and not boxy unlike Fortuner.
I have done 40000kms in my gloster.It is worth best car for me in this segment.I have done many roadtrips north to south east to west everything.Fully satisfied

The small issues which you highlighted might have resolved in MG GLOSTER recently launched.
Apart from that wireless charging is weired.

sound insulation is bad in MG cars and engine is worst

We also have a new 3 weeks mg gloste savvy but we are happy its infotainment system. Our music is very good we don't have problem like you and camera is very good
