I have TS,the problems vary from TS girl to TS girls but there are risk factors and that is why they should be regulary checked up to pick up on incase they have it or get it

@@FressherJTD I have TS- and I personally don`t really need anybody`s pity. Girls with TS are aborted because people think it is some horrible condition, but the reality is you can live a perfectly "normal" and healthy life with it. You will probably be shorter and have underdeveloped ovaries, anything else are just risks for certain health problems that you don`t have to get and that are almost always treatable, and maybe some minor issues everybody will overinterpret when having them thrown at them all at once without careful explanation. NOBODY with TS has everything you can get, and some of the problems are quite rare even in TS (e.g. aortic dissection- around 2% lifetime risk for us). (And we also don`t all have a significantly shortened life expectancy- there is a WIDE range of symptoms and severity of these symptoms.) TS in and on itself is not even considered a disablity! And think about another aspect: It`s our life, we don`t get another one! Even severely disabled people often don`t like pity, in the sense of some stranger telling them how hard and sad their life is supposed to be. They have adapted, because they don`t know life any other way. I know though that you wrote your comment with the best intents.
+Fressher JTD Yeah I don't even think they did good research on it because they say that it is not caused by environmental factors or by what the parents did but where is the research/evidence proven to show that this is true? I can't find any research done to show proof except on the internet about alcohol and paternal drinking - whether this causes TS that showed it wasn't caused by that but there is no other thorough research which makes me suspicious if they did their research thoroughly. I would love to know because it has affected my life in a way and its just made me frustrated living with TS. It even says on a TS website "Although researchers don't know exactly what causes Turner syndrome" they don't even know the cause!
Liz Kang I agree, they must do better research on genetic diseases, maybe there IS a cure for it but doctors don't know the cause due to the lack of research, this disease has been going on for over a 100 years and they found out what it is. But they still have no idea what caused it? Not even 1 thing?
