It’s Not that the offense isn’t that good? It’s the coaches putting players in best position and building the offense through Saquon, that will allow 1on1 matchups on outside.

They collapsed with Reddick last year
A pass rusher, doesn’t have to be reddick
Its hard for Jalen Carter to be a top 3 Defensive Lineman when he is held on every play without drawing a single flag from the refs. Don't you find it remarkable that we have had virtually ZERO holding calls against our DL through 2 games?
Also playing more under center and having #26 line up being QB rather than to the left or right.
Thomas Jalen set a record last yr. For the most comeback behind victories down 10+ you gotta change that statement

I think the D-line is doing what Fangio asks them to do. If you go back and watch the edge guys, they are making contact but looking into the backfilled maintaining the edge. They do not look like they are ripping in blindly looking for a sack. In other words, let's find out what the D line is being asked to do before grading them.

Wouldn't you say with our defensive line, it's not the talent but the coaching not putting the talent in the right position to be successful. We credit the coaching out of training camp about who they were playing n how good they were playing but don't use some of those guys in games or even pressure n rush more u can't play soft the whole time. Help me with this one
It feels to me like the D line including the edge just go into sumo wrestling mode engaging directly with the O line … they need to go to the BALL …. It’s about penetration and TACKLING!!! It’s like when receivers run straight to the cornerbacks … aren’t they supposed to run away from them??? I know contact is inevitable but the goal is to get to the guy that has the BALL !!!

Forgive me if this was already discussed, but I think Zach Baun should move to where Huff is (similar to what I believe he did in the Saints) and have White fill that 2nd LB spot besides Dean. What do you think?

Nolan Smith is not going to win many battles trying to bullrush. Tight ends give him trouble and tackles take him out completely. He needs to develop some moves that take the double team off of Carter or Davis.

Q.MITCHELL should be a future pro bowler! Cooper dejean needs more time. Jordan Davis I think is just going to be ok, for how much they gave up to get him it will be a bad pick. Jalen Carter has the talent, but does he have the mind and personality to become great? Does he really want to be the best? Dean I don't think has the body to be an every down middle LBer. He's to small. We have no edge rushers at all.

It’s astounding that once again you guys are talking about personnel when it’s coaching. Where are the blitz packages. Rushing only 4 and dropping everyone into coverage doesn’t work. It’s coaching not personnel.

I’ve got the answer: get in their base front more. 3-4 and Penny front. Get those d linemen in one on one situations. Having baun allows us to stay in regular personnel and bump to an odd front and walk baun down to be an end. Last game when we got into our odd front good things happened.
Thomas the offense is not that good either and they take to long to get going and let’s face it Jalen didn’t run the ball we would have blown out
Dallas Goedert runs awful routes and is extremely stiff after the catch. He's not a top tight end!
