Me. Derivere. You nailed it. I want to thank you and your team for just taking the time to do such a wonderful job on this game soundtrack. You and the other composers captured the spirit of the Streets of Rage series. When I first heard this playing the game for the first time ....I literally had to get out of my seat, just like when I played the first one in 1991, it was that since of nostalgia. I have a video posted called Street s of Rage Nostalgia, under my name Paul Burrage please check it out. Thank you douch for giving us fans a true quality soundtrack, tell Yuko he's awesome!!!!
Thank you so much for the link Mr. Deriviere. I've trying to ask the publisher via social media with no luck, but maybe you can help answer. Why isn't this song in the official OST release at all? I really want to buy the Vinyl to complete my SoR vinyl collection but this is my favorite song in the whole game. Will it be included in the Vinyl release?
@@Gojiro7 personally, I like the variety. It really captures all 3 old games wrapped into 1. I bet the entire soundtrack will translate really into a Sega soundtrack remix one day. But this, Ghost Fair, and Risng Up really were the hooks.
This is when the game first properly clicked with me and felt like the streets of rage I loved so much as a kid. The music propels you forward and affects how you play without you even realising.
I finally found it. I knew I wasn't losing my mind when I was listening to Ghost Fair and couldn't find this specific part in it. God... talk about childhood resonance reborn.
Ne at that’s was a really nice soundtrack also, my #1 is between this and ruclips.net/video/zcdYLTI--DU/видео.html another soundtrack that really captures that SOR feel
@@partsunknown2313 I think we were separated at birth. I totally agree with every point you've made... this track should have stayed for the boss fight, and yes Chow Time is the hottest track in the game!
This part was so funky... Especially when your playing it for the first time. It just hits you like... BAAM, here a taste of the 1990''s. This was one of those moments you just had to stop a enjoy the game and reflect over this games legacy. Truley the best of all beat em ups!!!!
This is easily one of the most "Streets of Rage" songs in Streets of Rage 4. Despite Olivier saying he didn't wanted to mimic Yuzo Koshiro work, he damn well proved he can go a step beyond even. This is a great song. Another favorite of mine is the Art Gallery song, which is also composed by Olivier.
I have to admit when I saw a French-ish sounding name attached to this soundtrack I got worried (despite the splendor that is Daft Punk) but Olivier is ooooobvuously a worthy successor to Yuzo.
This is my favorite part in SoR4. The background has all the gang members and police fighting, bottles litter the beach, the music is perfect, and its all topped off with a great boss fight.
This is the greatest song I’ve ever heard in a videogame. Everything about it is perfect to me, it’s the perfect tempo, perfect sound, perfect style, perfect beat.
And Crab Rave (before the infamous meme section plays) and maybe a little bit of Game Corner from Pokémon Gold Silver. Ever notice how similar all of these pieces of music together sound? It's almost as if they belong in its own genre. (Same with Earthworm Jim "Who turned out the Lights?", EarthBound's shop theme, Road Rash 2's Tennessee theme, Action 52's Timewarp Tickers, etc.)
Its actually based off Wave 131 from Sor2 which is remixed to New Wave from SorRemake. But it also sounds like Under Logic from Sor2 (baseball stadium)
When I heard this song in the game in the first time (and even now here) I think that all the essence of Streets of Rage from the past is in this song... Thank you for the upload!
This music track is an absolute masterpiece. Dare I say maybe my absolute favorite in the entire game? Yes. Even better than Rising Up, An Exhibition, They're Back, hell, even Chow Time!
Chow time is one of my favourites too. But this one I loved and it wasn't on the soundtrack that has been uploaded elsewhere. Which boggles the mind. Really captures that early 90s vibe.
@@neat3468 Was there any explanation as to why it wasn't on it?? I got the soundtrack from Itunes and when I played the game yesterday, I heard this part, and remembered right away "Why didn't I hear this part of the song??" Frantically looking for it

I think the official soundtrack video on Mutant Ninja Records channel made an oopsies and forgot to add this to the track list. Ghost Fair is there but not this part, it skips to Estel's theme. :( thank you for uploading!
The music of this game is unbelievable, i play SOR4 on me pc connected up via optical to a 90s but highend sony dolby digital amp with a 5ft basstube in the corner of the room, i spent most of the time when first playing this game cranking up the volume and made sure the subwoofer frequency was down low to get the best from these tracks sounds flipping awesome, streets of rage always had some banging tunes and glad to see nothings changed with SO4.
Easily the best track in the game and completely underutilized and not even on the official ost. Scratching my head at why this song wasn’t given the attention it deserves.
As soon as I heard this I was like "This sounds like Wave 131 from SoR2... I wonder what the Retro track is for this stage?" and sure enough Wave 131 was the Retro track lol.
This is my fave I think, along with Koshiro's "They are Back". I wish the rest of the soundtrack was like it. It instantly reminded me of SOR2's stage 4, the baseball stadium and its music, Under Logic. It was a very fun stage and Under Logic is like one of the best tracks from SOR2.
Personally my favorite track on SOR 4. Stage 1 track and this track is consistent to the previous SOR games. It's a shame they left this track out of the OST.
best track of the game for me. it's enchanting and nostalgic at the same time. With all due respect to Yuzo Koshiro, this should've been the stage 1 track
I remember playing the game and listening to this awesome sound track four years ago while we were fighting against the Pandemic and struggling with the sanitary restrictions in the real world. Awesome and sad times at the same time.
This is the song. When I first played and got to this point, jumping off the pier to the beach below. I recall fighting and getting into the Zone...and then I saw the background events...and realized just how BORKED the city has become! It's a free-for-all! My first serious, whispered, "Oh, crap..!" moment, right here.
I'm gonna make my co-workers dance to this! I'm sure there will be a RUclips Music version soon...*crosses fingers* thank you much for this missing part!
hey guys, thanks for all the kind words. here is the "official" version: olivierderiviere.bandcamp.com/track/down-the-beatch-bonus
the original official track is phenomenal, how come its not in the game fully ?
Dr.Hamad Yadikar Because it's an in-game rip. All of these tend to be different from all the album releases, for better or worse.

There are always contrarians to cool s£¥t.
This is where Olivier really nailed that Koshiro feel.
This is the most SoR-esque track in the entire game and instantly propelled the atmosphere.

It reminded me of fighting thru the Theme Park from SOR2
I kinda wish more of the OST had this vibe
