Before Kraft took over and decided to switch creme eggs from using dairy milk to a cheaper formula maybe but even with the tweaks they made after the first year the chocolate now still has a tack about it
+iankingart I think it's just what you grew up with. I'm British (Scottish and English) and have eaten peanut butter the majority of my life. The contrast of savoury and sweet with the nuttiness and slight saltiness combined with the sweet chocolate is far better and infinitely more interesting than sweet sweet sweet, sickly sweet which is the creme egg Don't get me wrong I liked creme eggs as a child before they were corrupted by the dark side corporate monstrosity from across the pond, but too many of them would have me vomit American chocolate is terrible, but they know how to make a variety of confections. They are good at making interesting flavour combinations, and peanut butter and chocolate is their best. I'm glad we are finally adopting it over here.

I once bought a 10kg bag of mini eggs from the Cadbury outlet store.. a normal human would pace themselves, but me... go hard or go home, 10kg of mini eggs disappeared in a matter of days. Pretty sure I had more chocolate than blood in me.

Hello Me. Never found a liking for Oreo and the one time I tried Hershey's I didn't like it either. I think it's probably because we are used to our own choccy brands.

Herseys issue is they put the milk they use through a process that breaks down the fatty acids, the problem is the side product of the process is the production of butyric acid. Butyric acid is the same acid that when you vomit gives it the rancid taste and smell so put that into chocolate and you are going to get an odd taste hidden inside the other tastes
I always like to eat the ears and heads of bunnies too when it comes to Easter candy and chocolate. Just something really fun about that! I think those oreo filled eggs are the best! I love how the oreo and cream and cookies are all in the center. I couldn't eat that much chocolate in one sitting, though. I feel really sick with a stomach ache when I try to do that.
Another brill vid! There's still a fair bit of Easter left so I wondered if it would be possible to do a savoury Easter treats eating/tasting/testing thing. That might be a bit tricky... but you might be able to do NON-CHOCOLATE ( aaaaarrrrhggghhhh! ) with hot cross buns and some cakes and rabbit shaped stuff. Alternatively you could make some cakes like chocolate-cornflakes or rice crispies cos I think that's what some good little christian kiddies do at Easter to give them to the baby Jesus or something

When i’m feeling flush i like to go to Hotel Chocolat when they’re selling off the easter stuff and get their kilogram encrusted eggs, but even then they’re extravagant. They also do an ostrich sized egg which is huge and appropriately mega expensive lol

I like the Cadbury caramel eggs too. The best things are the mini caramel and cream eggs that come in a dozen like real eggs. Each one is just the right size for a daily treat. Cadbury has put out Cadbury Scream Eggs (green inside) for Halloween the last couple of years.

To get back into a festive mood I changed the play-back speed to 0.25 and watched "drunk on chocolate" Alanna until you "started to slow down a little bit" at 6:56. Mini eggs rock! I don't really have a favourite, don't each much chocolate anymore, I did use to always love kinder surprise eggs growing up though, I actually really like(d) their chocolate. My go to chocolate will always be kinder bueno.
If you want to add an additional amount of awesome to mini eggs, put them on a tea spoon and then into a hot drink (pref hot chocolate cus, y'know, chocolate).... the outside stays crunchy but the inside melts! Omnomnomnomnom! Takes some practise to get the timing right but so very worth it!
My kids are 28, 26 and 16 and I used to hide their eggs but not cheap chocolate 🤣 Cadbury’s Easter eggs or mars in the house or if it was dry and sunny in the garden. Here in the UK the boxed eggs are more popular on Easter Sunday than the little ones. And as you’ve probably noticed Easter eggs have been on sale since Xmas 🤣

Mini Eggs are a new product, traditionally it was big hollow eggs with more chocolate sweets inside. UK. Ps. Cadbury creme eggs, is the original small egg. it's been about for ever, usually on sale between New Years Day to Easter. Pps. If you need help eating chocolate, give me a shout. lol

Alanna...as a young kid we had a school easter egg hunt and made a cup sized easter basket for our parents.

I admire your dedication to entertain us. You almost fell into a chocolate sugar coma towards the end. I still prefer the old Cadbury creme eggs before they were taken over by Kraft who cheapened the recipe (and the rest of the chocolate) in favour of profit

Mini eggs rock! I don't really have a favourite, don't each much chocolate anymore, I did use to always love kinder surprise eggs growing up though, I actually really like(d) their chocolate.
My go to chocolate will always be kinder bueno.
I’ve been buying and eating Easter eggs for the past month now, I swear I like Easter more than Christmas.
Mini Eggs rule the roost! Plus I think they are one of the few Cadbury products that in my opinion haven't changed over the years.
I havn't tried the prep or reeses but I do so want to try them now... I'm off to buy some!
If you want to add an additional amount of awesome to mini eggs, put them on a tea spoon and then into a hot drink (pref hot chocolate cus, y'know, chocolate).... the outside stays crunchy but the inside melts! Omnomnomnomnom! Takes some practise to get the timing right but so very worth it!

My kids are 28, 26 and 16 and I used to hide their eggs but not cheap chocolate 🤣 Cadbury’s Easter eggs or mars in the house or if it was dry and sunny in the garden. Here in the UK the boxed eggs are more popular on Easter Sunday than the little ones. And as you’ve probably noticed Easter eggs have been on sale since Xmas 🤣

I haven't tasted most of these snacks. I used to love Cadbury's Creme Eggs as a kid although I haven't bought one for a long time. They are, indeed, 'the powerhouse of Easter snacks' - good call. :)

Hershey's chocolate contains paraffin which is to stop it melting in warmer climates, but gives it that waxy accrid taste.

I hope you don't feel so sick now. For me it's the mini eggs and crème egg at the top, and everything else way down at the bottom (especially that thing with peanut butter). I ate so many Cadbury Mini Eggs as a child I'm surprised I don't still feel sick as an adult :D

For some reason the normal sized Easter egg versions always have a coup,e of small ones inside, instead of filling the large egg with the creme
No one needs an excuse to eat chocolate. But it's always good if you do.

The local co-op store that's next to my house in Scotland sells the Hershey's C&C bars. I tried it on a whim and it was great.
