I was blasting this in my car stereo at 1:30 am afyer dropping my bandmate off at the ER. It was an unusually cool night for the summertime and it was one of the most beautiful and calming drives I'd ever taken. I love this album.
Absolutely gorgeous. To say I am looking forward to Myriologues would be a stark understatement. The Ships in the Night EP contains some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard in my life, ethereal, soothing, lofty, and the poetry is just utterly gorgeous. Judging from this song, the full length promises a lot, and I have no doubt you'll deliver on that promise. That soft chiming (I think it's a bell, but I could be wrong) is absolutely hypnotic, and the violin accentuations, beautiful. Once again the poetry and vocal delivery are ethereal and gorgeous, I know I keep using the same word, but try as I might my vocabulary fails me and I can't think of a better one. The name of the album seems very fitting, this song is very funerary in tone, dirge-like in all the most beautiful ways while still remaining wonderfully mellifluous. The hope found in the most nihilistic of realizations, the inevitability of death is just.... I have no words of sufficiently poetic nature to praise it justly. The video is beautifully shot, with a slow build that compliments the music wonderfully. I'll say it again, absolutely gorgeous.
