The ML and FL did a great job acting like they had known each other since childhood. They had a very playful dynamic, with plenty of youthful awkwardness thrown in as they tried to navigate their budding relationship. Their feelings for one another were so transparent that it stretched the imagination at times to believe that neither had clued in to the fact that their love was reciprocated. I can forgive them taking so long to realize their feelings were returned since they were both young and inexperienced with relationships (the FL dated her ex for a year, but since it seemed she was never into him for real, it likely wasn't the same as learning from being in a real relationship). Also, due to bashfulness, both verbally denied their feelings multiple times in their history together, so the process of getting together was doomed to be lengthy. Unrelated to any of what I wrote above, 2:00:03 did he seriously pull out steel wool when he's trying to convince her to let him help her bathe??? The look on her face when he showed it to her...
'Red Lights' was a nice touch as he leaned in with the obligatory 'up close and wanting you' pose. This movie is an ideal escape if you want a little funny romance escape. It's just goofy and cute.
