No questions asked, you are the best at what you do, thanks for sharing your experiences and knowledge keep your videos coming
Such kind words. Thank you.
I can't imagine having the talent or patience to do a rebuild such as this. You helped me appreciate what i have in my '89 Chevy conversion van called Justin.
Thank you. I appreciate the time during quarantine and well as the project to occupy that time. I originally was going to do more basic stuff but as I got into it thought might as well do it right the first time.
@@SawDustRevival was the only 8
I like how you were true to or reused original timber and colors without keeping it dated or modern. Good mix up
Thank you. My parents had a few of these growing up so I appreciate how beautiful they are originally. Didn’t want to just get rid of everything in there.
man that door handle idea is DOPE. thanks for sharing this video
As a guy who grew up in these G vans in the 80's and converted a few with my dad for vacations. Great job on Ruby.
Man she is beautiful. Awesome workmanship.
Gorgeous van!
Isn’t she?
I admire your patience and knowledge on how to do things and put together things. You did a great job on this build. Congrats!
Wonderful work
You did a beautiful job! I appreciate you doing the time lapse so we all get an idea the huge amount of work you put in and the equipment you needed to get it done.
Like the van just enough without overdoing it ill be glad when I can build one
lol, that little dog just kept making me laugh every time he turned up and plonked his bum down. Adorable little thing :)
Hey!
He was helping!
You do great wood work.
Thank you
Love this! You did a wonderful job!
Beautiful ceiling lighting with an Art Deco feel... really like them!
Thanks. I really like it too.
Well done! I appreciate your attention to detail along with your layout and design. Thanks for taking us along for the build.
sorry to be off topic but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account??
I somehow forgot the password. I would love any tips you can give me.
@@kohencarlos1522 I'm sorry, but I don't have an Instagram account, so I don't even know where to begin.
@Kohen Carlos Instablaster =)
@Mason Arturo thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process atm.
Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Mason Arturo It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much, you really help me out :D
What a great job!!! The only thing I did not like was the curtains under the counter. With all the precision on everything else, curtains are a cop out. Excellent workman ship on everything. Lots of different ideas for the interior. John from Cape Cod.
Have own chevy vans since 1973. Learned how to drive on my Dads 1964 Chevy van. So as you guess I"am old man now. I remember the vans we used to build in our driveways years ago. (1970s) Every one was different. Enjoyed watching this build you are talented craftsman. Now I currently still own my 1997 high top Chevy conversion van but its time to sell it. Its in great condition and it will be the first time since 1973 that I won"t own a van. Anyway great job on a driveway build.
Cant not be a van man. Love them.
I love that you get right to it and speed it up , with your sweet lil buddy helping you...
That looks familiar! I just ripped out the subfloor of a conversion van, getting ready to cut new carpet tomorrow. Thanks for the lesson!
Really nice wood, lots of beautiful touches like frosting of the overhead light.
Beautiful camper van you are amazing wow that's my dream van wow so beautiful camper you are the man God bless you and your family and friends wow that's awesome one again wow bless it..
I love how the dog hung out the whole time just chilling.
Tried having her hand me tools but she never listened. Reaps the benefits but doesn’t put in the work.
I like these old vans.
Wonderful conversation! I want one 🥳☝️
Hardest part is buying the van.
Great job, I just use a jackery for all power, I don't like to mess with my van battery.
Wow, it´s awesome how you kept the character if this car. I´ll get my G30 today and I wish I would have your skills with that woodworking.
Great Job, I'm just starting on a Dodge 1994 for my Daughter.
Thanks. I hope I helped with ideas in some way.
Wow!! .... whatta Dad!! 🤴
Going to put a new or rebuilt engine and transmission? I don't care if it's got 30,000 miles on it a 94 will breakdown sooner than later if she's using it cross country or just riding place to place while living in it
Great job keeping the integrity of the original........improving upon it and making it fresh and updated! Happy Camping!
Thank you!
I have the same van except it's a 91. I just built it up and converted it into a campervan. Love it and love yours too! ❤
They are the best.
My ‘92 is laid out nearly identical xcept the woodwork isn’t so nice. However, w/ 3 100w panels on the roof & a 2000w inverter w/ 2 100ah deep cell batteries I have an actual 3.5cf refrigerator where your cooler is. I have another add-on panel I set out at my destination. I run the fridge, stereo, a box fan, 12v water pump, & 12v water heater element for outside shower with that setup. Battery isolator under the hood also allows alternator hookup to charge both starter & cabin batteries while running but never draining start battery…
Nice. I may add solar. I’m getting a little AC unit I backed on kickstarter. I should have power now to run it especially when I have shore power. But I like boondocking and would love solar.
Very well done. You are a Van Master!
Too kind
I think the great thing about these type of vehicles is if you want to get the whole thing like a lot of people do when it when it comes to getting a vehicle to live in or travel, and resell the components especially if they’re good quality.
Yeah I have sold a couple things I took out of it.
Wow!! Nice job!
You are truly gifted, Our Lord and Savior Jesus was a carpenter, your gorgeous work proves God gifted you , Excellent work, Thank you for showing us.
It's very well done! Videos such as this, causes me to miss the 1999 Dodge Ram Van that I used to have. It was a High Top Conversion Van and it was so beautiful. It's too bad that Chrysler Corporation stopped production on them. Vans make me think of the 1970's and 80's with the Murals on them! Your van is awesome!
Thank you. Go on out an get you one. They run forever if maintained well.
Omg the pug is so cute. What a great lil helper
Never brought the screwdriver when I asked for it though.
This is beautiful, you’ve done a fantastic job and I just adore your little pug 🥰❤️
I would ask her to get tools and what not and she would just sit there staring at me. Such a huge help. Thank you!!
More Pug please! Nah, awesome job nice craftsmanship and plan. Thanks for all the time spent to share.
She kept me in line.
I love this van
I love your video van life is so amazing
Sweet van
I loved the quiet as you ripped through thevredo it lookscAWESOME!!! YOU ROCKED RUBY WITH THE WAX AND BUFF TOO!!!! Best video!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you.
This warms the cockles. It's fantastic my man. I especially like the cockpit! Enjoy!
Nice job building your camper. Looks like a conversion van is the best one to start with. Thanks for sharing.
That was my thinking. I’m going to rock this for a bit to see what I need and don’t. Then maybe do a mini bus.
You made that look easy. You are very skilled. Nice work.
Great 👍🏾 job. My only suggestion is some sort of back up camera. That's almost a must have in today's world. But still a great job.
It’s definitely on my mind. Though I’ve gotten pretty good at it without.
Thanks for the ideas
Hope it works out for you.
Great job.im doing a 98 express. Wish I had your skills. And tools. 😆
I love those touch open and close doors.😊 I also love that you did your own wood work AND your own soldering. Great van! So much attention to detail😁
Thank you. The touch open doors have kind of been a pain. Not as strong as I hoped. If I close the back door hard enough it opens on its own.
What a great build. You are a true craftsman. I hope you get a lot of use out of Ruby.
Before, such potential! Okay, it was a lot to do, at least you have much space, thanks for sharing. Very nice, love the wood surface.
Amazing!!! Great job!!
Thank you
Beautifully done. I love how everything looks original. You did awesome. 💚
Upvote just for that stubborn bolt lol.
Honestly the bolts were the worst part of the whole build. Many bad words were said.
Very nice job 👍
Good time van 2021!
Such a good time van

I bet Jim and Ruby would be friends
@@SawDustRevival I noticed the Michigan Wolverine T-shirt. Assuming you're in Michigan. Me too! Awesome workmanship. Wow. Just absolutely awesome. Would love to see her. I noticed you kept the pinkish rose in areas. My nephew calls me Aunt Pinki... lol. I'm looking for a conversion van if you know of one available. And omg! I was just thinking about making screens for my open windows in my car! True story! Great minds think alike!
Beautiful job!!!
That was a very nice job you did on that van, it's old, but it's sweet looking, I like how you put all that dark stained wood in there, it goes good with the purple carpet, happy travels!
Good job 👏

Beautiful carpenter you did with the cabinets and the bed as well as draws
Ruby is a beauty,
Thank you.
amazing work!!! well done, Mr. I love your details and craftmanship.
Amazing rebuild. Wish I had your skills. Inside and outside look beautiful and functional. Well done and happy travels and adventures.
nice, looking van and great looking work you have done / I, bought a 97, Dodge Ram 2500 conversion high top van I'm going to add a few changing to the inside and outside of the van to give it more custom features
Excellent!!! Ruby looks great, fine work!
I love how you kept the original wood & vibe of the van. So cool!!!
Thanks. It was important to me to make it my own while still letting the van show itself.
Beautiful work.. Thanks for sharing.
Wow your a talented guy
Much appreciated.
My second time watching this. You gave Ruby a new life! I love it great job!!
Glad you enjoy it. I like to think I gave her a new life too. She had been sitting for 2 years and now she is roaming around exploring places she’s never been.
Dang Ruby looking gooood👍👍
Really like the woodwork great job! Hope ya can offer some feedback with creating more headroom up front in my 04 GMC Savana hitop. Like you I had gutted mine and very slow process revising the interior. Got tired banging me noggin constant getting in and out so cut back the storage cavity above rear doors creating much more space though involved cutting out lateral support brace. Up front I cut headliner back about 10” till running into another one of the braces. Now wanting create more space cutting out a horse shoe U config cutting forward up to the console lights between front seats. This will make for total ease getting in and out of front seat. I’ll figure a simple trim detail going around the cove so to be able utilize remaining storage space. Thinking the opening to be the width of space between the seats. Suppose a guy could conceivably cut forward all the way to the front leaving portions above each front seats butt rather see how it feels after cutting this portion out. My concern being about the structural integrity in cutting out the brace running across above front seats. It appears many after market fabricators just cut out roof adding new fiberglass top but wanting make sure before I start cutting. There’s the option of welding roll bar type brace up and over attached to where brace cuts would be and to the raised roof so to not infringe into the opening. Will appreciate your thoughts if you were to do this in your van? Thx
Thanks for the kind words. I’m afraid I can’t give you much advice on your question. I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable cutting into the supports but i honestly don’t know how it would effect it. Good luck.
You did a fantastic job, beautiful!
Very nice job. I have built many vans over the years usually starting with cargo vans but those are getting rare in decent shape. I personally do not know anyone who can afford 1 of the new campervans($100 thousand plus) so this is a good choice. Have a great time with your new ride.
