As a graphic designer and a photographer it is scary. The point is although your graphics are better, some clients do not care. This ist also true for photography.

If an Ai can replace you then it’s a skill issue, as a creative you are solving business problems rather than pixel pushing, those who do not understand this are not your clients

I had the same experience -- it can do patterns pretty well but struggles with scenes, icons and objects. It's like the AI generated photos we've been seeing for months now -- it looks great at first glance but then you notice the subject has 7 fingers and their legs aren't quite where they are supposed to be.

I do not think so! The original and distinguish art would be in need. So a human graphic artist would do much greater than machines generative by all means and any matters.

I'm not a huge fan of the Adobe Illustrator generator. I've been playing with it to get something that resembles what I want and go to a graphic designer and tell them "like this" and I say "add in the missing legs". And "we only have 4 fingers not 7."
Useful to send your graphic designer to give an idea.

I for the first time used a generative AI (non Adobe) network for a clients project. The client gave an idea, which i plugged it into the software. Some of the images were not the best, others great. what impressed me was the quickness of it all. The amount of ideas I had on paper, would normally have taken a week, was shown to the client later that day. As for now it is still in the clients benfits to have and artist, for layout, color theory, the stuff we are good at. Will the network learn those things? Later that evening, I input "The Celebration of Entropy" it seemed fine with the idea of celebration. Entropy, not so much (how do you illustrate entropy?). It didn't get the juxtaposition of celebrating something that ends the existence of all? But it learns, fast. What happens when it can generate its own motives?

I feel like it makes it a bit better for artists. A general person would need to spend time learning prompts, etc. which sometimes they don't want to. As an artist, art history has never been more important + we can manipulate the art with our technical skills - we just have to present that and improve communication

    • @YGODueltainer
      @YGODueltainer 11 месяцев назад +1

Yeah but lets keep in mind that this tech is still pretty pre-mature. Even now, all these AI tech is already damn impressive at its job. In it current state, it will no doubt required user input in order to assist artist in their creative process, but what about in 10 years? what if by then, it got so good and effective to the point of not needing artist like us anymore? Would we be obsoleted by these machines? these software? because I can already see that happening. I mean think about it, why would anyone want to spend thousands on someone that may or may not be good at their job when these AI can spit out adaquate result for much less?
I mean, what a time to be alive! I am excited and fear for the future of AI in the artworld at the same time. Can't decide which is scarier, fear of losing my job to an AI or fear of not being good enough to an AI.

I was really inspired by your video! It reminded me of another AI-based design tool I came across, known as Stylar ai. This web tool has a feel similar to Photoshop, offering features like LOGO design styles, and it's more user-friendly. However, it's still quite basic and seems to be in a beta phase.

AI uses human work to build on. It’s just a computer that learns how to identify things by name and then copies it. 😂😂. Not intimidated at all. AI should be scared of me lol.😅

We get it, how to deal with the machine.
But there are the layman fans amongst us that don’t care if a human or machine does it.
As long as they are entertained, out goes creativity and real human artists.
      Can’t teach a machine soul👈🏿🫡👍🏿

Definitely a scary thought as a artist, just stumbled across your content while adapting from PC to iPad with my digital art.. blows my mind how many functions are capable with illustrator, photoshop, procreate on iPad, have hesitated the switch up until buying a apple pencil and seeing how amazing the technology is for us old school artist.. as for AI.. not sure it will ever be capable of taking the emotion, blood, sweat, frustrations, sore backs, eyes and hands that go into making a piece of art, that’s human and unique to each artist.. everything I have seen personally that is AI generated has a feel to it, borderline.. but almost can tell it’s not a humans work. What worries me is this is the start, if it is this good now imagine in 5 years…. Will graphic design, digital art even be a thing or will it be as simple as a 5 minute sketch or taking a photo to generate something we spend hours if not weeks, months on?

U still need someone ..us..to say yeah this is dope...let's use it for this..
I love ai...making a full length cartoon animation movie was always a dream now I might be able to pull it off ..by myself...no 200 man team...no just me..

Question… my adobe illustrator looks like the one in your tutorial learning how to use the tools in adobe. I notice most peoples adobe looks like the one on this video. How do I get the second row of tools on the left hand side? I just seem to have basic tools. I should mention I have AI on my iPad Pro. Not sure if that makes a difference. Also I didn’t get the update for the adobe generative A.I.

Do you see a tab called ‘Window” in your top navbar? Under that drop down you should be able to see all the tools that are available and check the ones you want to show up in your illustrator workflow.

If you continue to give Adobe free input if it works it will get smarter - and smarter… therefore it DEPENDS ON DESIGNERS DOING THEIR FREE INPUT - MEANING YOU WILL DISPLACE TOUR JOBS by providing the improved performance …SO MAKE YOUR CHOICES CONSCIOUSLY - eventually you are voting for dismissal of you jobs

Your art looks like clipart, not necessarily something you drew (I know clipart is drawn, but I think you get my point). The A.I. stuff looks great. Artists think their art is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but you have to think with a normie mind when it comes to this stuff. Normies don't notice the flaws you notice, so they won't care. Never mind the fact that a year or two from now, A.I. is going to be twice (maybe 4x, actually) as good as it is now. I think you're eventually going to lose, just like the people who fought for a higher minimum wage have already started to lose. And to the same thing - a machine. Good luck.

Remember when artists who painted and sketched by hand used to say digital artists wouldn't beat "real art"?
Well. Wait for it. Many might argue AI is not accurate and lacks the "human factor"... People, wake up. AI is learning, and it learns fast.
There will come the day when not even sketching will be necessary. That would give us a lot of time to create faster and more efficiently. Welcome AI. Robots are here to stay.
