Came here two years ago for the first time but didn't bother to look up the artists he talked about, now I'm watching this again, realizing that in the past year I've listened to all of them😂
talent and hype sometimes correlate, sometimes not. when i listen to his music, i honestly think the hype was first, than there was the talent. it´s supposed to be the other way.
just take a closer at the audience at his shows, they seem to think like. oh that´s pretty crappy BUT this guy is the man, pitchfork told it. i GOT TO LIKE his stuff. that´s how it is today. with a lot of people.
I only understood Ratking. They're a NY rap outfit which would later tour and collaborate with King Krule.. I'm also pretty interested in the other names
Very valid point. My issue with him is not so much his lyrical content which is decent, its just a shame that he's the one who is saying it. I just cant understand how so many people can enjoy listening to him when he sounds the way he does. BUT as i said, excellent point about the pond life on X factor
Honestly you could say that about any emerging artist. If king krules not your taste hes not your taste dude, no point poking fun at stuff you don't like; just go listen to what you like
some articels/interviews at pitchfork are really not bad i have to say. but the way the push certain artists and ignore others is just awful so in the end iam on your side;) have a nice day peace
That black girl with the blonde hair in buns was either feeling the music too hard or tripping on something. Probably the latter; no one ever connects spiritually with music like that anymore.
i would not go this far. let this unindividual kids get their taste dictated by some hipstermags, i really don´t give a shit about it. just find your own taste that makes you able to decide what is real music, and what is just some faked overhyped trash in the end. pitchfork won´t tell you this;) peace man
label a young artist as underground. give him an attitude of being different from mainstream. let him talk a lot of semi-inellectual stuff and there will be not so few people that think yeah he´s representing my "subculture" careless his music is the lamest crap ever heard.
Ever since I started listening to Krule other music sorta bores me. Very original music is coming from this kid. Keep it up.
6 years later and i couldnt feel this any more
same here
His voice blows my mind.
He plugs his friends so much I love it
He's adorable with his little hat on ♡♡♡
only Archy Marshall can say aysfetics instead of aesthetics and still be cool
Th-fronting is incredibly common in London. I didn't even know it was a thing until relatively recently.
Eysfe ics
@@Vrailly my grandma beats me when I say free instead of three
I love the clothes he wears
I just love his voice!
Fucking awesome how J. Dilla was a big influence on him. King Krule is too much man
he's so cuuute
He sounds perfect. I just love his music. Everything about his music Is perfect.
His voice adds distinction and character to his music. It wouldn't sound as ambient or as ominous if someone with a "decent" singing voice sang it.
saw him last Saturday in Leeds, fucking fantastic
Came here two years ago for the first time but didn't bother to look up the artists he talked about, now I'm watching this again, realizing that in the past year I've listened to all of them😂

Great
I can definitely hear a Fela Kuti influence in his vocal delivery
Jimi Hendrix... every musician who keep it real has to like/grow on Jimi's music
just take a closer at the audience at his shows, they seem to think like. oh that´s pretty crappy BUT this guy is the man, pitchfork told it.
i GOT TO LIKE his stuff. that´s how it is today. with a lot of people.

grunt singing spoken word shows the passion in his work unlike these singers who show there range and show off how high they can sing
Very valid point. My issue with him is not so much his lyrical content which is decent, its just a shame that he's the one who is saying it. there is nothing pretentious in his music.
