I think the mimic would be scarier if they didn't try and kill you immediately. Have them follow you around for a while and try to blend in. Then they can kill you randomly when you aren't looking.

If you still have contact with the dev team, maybe suggest adding some ambient insect wing noises for the giant killer bugs? It would solve the issue of turning a corner face first into them.
I definetely get that adding so many levels kind of takes away the original feeling of the backrooms. But i honestly think its best suited for this game since its just meant to be a fun little multiplayer experience in which you just go from level to level and get scared and have fun with your friends. This whole game was also made mostly by one guy so its pretty admirable. I also think that many people said "if its just the yellow rooms it will get boring quickly so lets make as much liminal spaces as we can". I agree with jack said at the end that both versions are correct. The concept has multiple versions its not just one thing that keeps evolving. You have both the og level with multiple sub levels and all of these infinite levels. You can make great stuff with both

Let me tell you as a long time Jack viewer 1st and a recent Gab viewer, you don't need to worry about such nonsense. This playthru proves you can bring the energy when needed, but still remain chill - which is why we like you. I love watching the 2 of you play games together, either like this or when he joins you for Nancy Drew games.
