Made the awful mistake of watching the first 2 mins of a Beyounce video to check sound levels - watched this - I now consider myself cleansed - Thank you Mr. Tobin for being a sound God and gracing my ears with such amazing unique sonic art :)
@estreet2007 not all dubstep has wobble and i thought dubstep came drum drum n bass but if i'm wrong i'm wrong doesn't change the fact that this is some nice music
@estreet2007 kinda sounds like some type of ambient experimental with some dubstep but idk i'm cranked out of my mind right now no matter what it is it's sick as fuck
@spoerl92 Try to learn about amon tobin on wikipedia, you'll surely understand his kind of music. he's really far from the dubstep scene, also he doesn't want to be focused on a specific gender he experiments a lot, he's also better know for making IDM, Trip-Hop, Breakbeat, Hip-Hop, Electro Hip-Hop, and DnB music. Amon Tobin's music is one of the hardest to classify.
@spoerl92 Drum N' Bass needs drums and bass like it's name says, dubstep is a little bit close to DnB but without drums and less faster and it overuse basseline. I think this song is close to Burial's dubstep, but like I said it's more complex for being dubstep it's too much experimental and close from intelligent dance music that's why I think it's better to classify it as breakbeat, all the ingredients of breakbeat are in this track.
@spoerl92 Dubstep need wobble, ambient is more relaxin and it use natural sound, But with the use of broken beats I can say it's breakbeat, also dubstep is a subgender of breakbeat.
