I am a MASSIVE fan of Ayreon. Specifically Into the Electric Castle is a ProgRock masterpiece! I bought the blu-ray, but it would AMAZING to see them live in Seattle. 🤘
Into the Electric Castle is a masterpiece! Would be great for them to tour but I understand they wouldn't be able to bring the whole spectacle/stage set up along with them and sort out all the guests! - Claire
Awesome!! My daughter and I were there as well. We flew in from the U.S. we went to the dress rehearsal on Thursday, the show on Friday and the last show on Sunday. It was amazing. It was our first time seeing them live and it was definitely a treat. Yes, everyone in the band was soooo friendly. We were able to meet a lot of them and I was impressed with all of them. It was definitely worth the long flight!!! ✈️🎶🎼🎤
Wow! That's a long old journey! Worth it, I'm sure! 😄 It's pretty crazy that there were about 60 nationalities there or something crazy! So glad you guys enjoyed the show - truly one to remember! - Claire
Wauw. What a fantastic video this is. I was myself on the Friday show. The best I’ve seen in my entire life so far. I love these roadtrip documentaires. Thank you for sharing.
I'm from the Netherlands but I've met so many people from all over the world. That's what make Ayreon gigs extra special. Nice video and sorry for the weather...😜
It's crazy! There were so many different nationalities there, it felt like a mini Eurovision but with better music 😂 Hahaha don't worry, being British, I'm used to ungodly amounts of rain! - Claire
Thanks for the video. I was in the matinee and really really enjoyed the show. It was indeed hot and cramped. They could easily fill a larger venue. But that would not be the same I suppose. Everybody was relatively close to the stage and that connects. Makes you part of it. Beforehand we were in a mile long row through the city waiting to be let in. Damian walked the line to "test the waters" and had a chat with the audience here and there. I love that. The approachability of these artists. They are famous, but still normal and just pleasant. Which can also be said for metal public in general. Ask security guards what type of concerts they prefer. It's metal. The majority of people are just having fun and enjoying themselves. No agression to be seen. I had the same experience with Rammstein in Groningen. Never saw so much politeness and friendliness. As experienced by a 67 year old.
Thankyou so much for watching! The sense of community is so great! Ah yes, Damian is so lovely - it seems he's always got time to chat to people for literal hours... And yeh, you're right! The other artists are so willing to converse with fans, even if they're having a meal etc. The Ayreon community really is a wholesome one! Glad you enjoyed the show! Which album are you hoping for in 2 years? - Claire
Cant believe how many tickets were going about 2nd hand from people who couldn't go, I ended up going twice, and could have gone in a 3rd but my wife would have killed me. Counting the days til' the Blu Ray comes out. Great vid to remember Tilburg.
Been to the matine show on Sunday with my best friend. We just came back saterday from three weeks holiday in Italy with our wives…so this was the ultimate final of our holiday…it was brilliant!
Love to all your family, it is amazing to see a entire family with so beautiful t-shirts. Congratulations for your video. Me and two of my sons were there on Saturday matinee. It worths to fly across the ocean from Puerto Rico and Connecticut . Long live the Metal
Thanks for this video❤We could not catch Tickets after anouncement in October. All shows where completely sold out. So we were so happy to get Tickets through pre-sale. This Show was so amazing and loved to be part of this concert too ❤😍🤟
Well 'Brand' beer that your father was tasting is without a doubt better than Heineken :) Besides that Arjen is an amazing artist he is quite a humble guy. A friend of mine met him at a festival, and believe it or not.. he was in the audience.
That beer was tasty! I still enjoy a Heineken but it's nice to mix it up a bit 😂 Arjen has such talent! Wow I'm jealous of your friend - bet Arjen towered above most of the crowd 😂 - Claire
My wife and I flew over from the US and caught the dress rehearsal and Sunday matinee. The whole experience was fantastic. We stayed in Eindhoven and really enjoyed it there. Side note - guy in the Hawaiian shirt at 9:44 was everywhere that week. Saw him several times.
Great video. Been there on saturday with my son, a niece and her son. Show was amazing. We sometimes forget how lucky we are, having Ayreon doing his live shows in Tilburg (and one at Graspop, Begium) so no need to travel and all. It did remind me a little of the time when me and some mates went to London to see Iron Maiden at the Brixton Academy, some 20 years or so, we made it a weekend too back then...
That's awesome! I'd love to go abroad more often to see bands (especially in their native country)! We're hoping to go to Graspop next year...shame Ayreon won't be there this time 🤣 - Claire
I flew from the US to see them! It was an amazing experience. Also, I had the exact same issue with the coffee pod, lol! Also I have to know where you got the cheese wheel pasta for next time!
That's awesome! Long way to go but totally worth it. I can't remember the name of the place with the pasta. I'll try find out. 10/10 recommend - Claire
Great to get a glimpse from the other side, thanks for your video! Glad you enjoyed it, hope to see you again in 2025 🙂

The Vertical filming thing!!! 😂 I have to explain this every single gig to Ruby! Haha So happy that it's not just us! 🤘🏻
I'm normally pretty good with horizontal filming 😂 Must've been a moment of insanity (or beer lol)

I truly believe "Executive Producer" greatly exaggerates my part in this production 😮 Brilliant video as always. It was such a good weekend...
Credit where credit is due, Darren! Thankyou! I hope we can eat extrenely delicious cheesy pasta again in 2 years.

Nice video, we went to the matinee and we were in almost the same spot as your dad but all the way in the front.
Concert was awesome 🖤🤘🏼
Thanks so much for watching!
You got a great spot then! Although I bet the pyro was that little bit hotter there though 😂

Haha, I was sitting just out of shot to the right @13:37
I'm reasonably certain I had a brief conversation with your dad at some point 😆
Hahaha awesome! 😆
You probably did, he's a people person!

I laughed at Slagroom, Munt, Toeslag etc and many other words
Ohhhh Toeslag! Forgot about that one 😅

@@MeadandMetal we were part of the Toehider fanbase so found it funny
