Dude, those line burns were insane!! Listening to that drag absolutely scream each cast put a big smile on my face watching it. Can only imagine what it must've been like in person. Bloody epic footage as always mate. Keen to watch the rest of the Nomad boys as they did their thing while you did yours
Hey matt, great vid as usual. Im not an audio engineer but ive used a program called goldwave before editing acoustic music to drop white noise and weird room frequencies. I think if you ran your audio through something and dropped different freqencies you could edit out a lot of the wind noise. Particularly the low end stuff when smothers the mic. Your mix wont sound as full but you might be able to lose 80% of it without affecting vocals or the other sounds too much.
Dear Professor, As you mentioned in the video , there are/were Giants. Unfortunately , I couldn’t find anything similar to that so instead I got the next best thing ; a little “Something Something “ to say thank you for the adventures (And happy birthday to me for last week) as nothing happened and no one remembered anyway 😂😂😂. Speak soon Chris (not from Crete anymore) as back in the UK.
The fastest fish in the world would have to be the sail fish and then the mako shark. A Mako would smoke a wahoo. They also are spectacular at jumping. It's actually a bit terrifying since a run from a wahoo is already mind blowing
@@PelagicPursuit89 Sucks that one got chomped though. I watch enough of your videos to know you do your best to release them away from the sharks. I just figured if a shark chomped my wahoo, I would have kept the meat, if nothing else than for spite, just so they can't have the rest. :) Great videos. You're living the dream.
yeah Ive broken plenty in my time mate. few have ever been the rods fault, mainly my issue high sticking trying to stop a fish getting to its home or out of excitement
Dear Professor, Please forgive my naïtivity as I am currently in Europe. When fishing in deep water and for large (extra Large) fish, I will then use a stiff rod. A rod which would normally not bend “that easily”. So here it is. When targeting or if you think you’re going to be encounter such Large fish, why aren’t you using such heavy set up , heavy rods? Thank you once again for the adventures. Chris from Crete
hey chris the jig rod I was using was a pe8 rod which is basically rated to 100lb. trust me it doesn't bend easily that's why I said I could only hold onto it for so long especially after high speed jigging and casting for hours prior.
@@PelagicPursuit89 proper broom stick = proper spinal. If you’ve followed the channel for a while you’ve seen ole Matty best some serious sea monsters on PE 5-8 casting setups

Brilliant editing and great to hear Steph's Aussie accent come out every now and again 🙂
Living the dream Matty. Catch and release wahoo and YFT; words not heard much where I live. Good on you 👍
Mate, more crazy fishing. Yahoo on the wahoo. Keep up the ripper content Matty.
That may be the first time i have ever seen a catch and release of a wahoo🐟🎣
usually they wouldn't be released but we only have limited fridge and freezer space on board and that was filled on day one.
So epic brother. Way to start with a catch and release hoo!
No thought of throwing a 10wt or a 12wt into the boat Matt? Those jelly bean yft's would be fun on the long wand.
I'm disappointed. I haven't seen a China fish.
hahaha I should have left the jig on the bottom for a couple seconds longer. would have made the people happy
Watching from philippines love all your videos ❤🎉🎉
Loving these episodes mate

yeah we need the same
Your a very fortunate man!!
Just magnificent 👌
Matt, why did you send that Hoo back to the sharks? Do you not like to eat Wahoo? I'd have had that fish for dinner.
we already had plenty and I usually drive away from the sharks before releasing them I just thought it would have swam away stronger
