You did make one video where you broke down an Alaris 8100 along with a little patient monitor and a vacuum regulator. I remember watching it before I started helping out with one of the hospitals in my district for IV pump month it was super helpful because you tore it down completely and we’re really thorough.
Hi, thank you for sharing the informative video. Do you have any repair videos on Hospira plum A infusion pumps?? We have a few at our facility and we end up sending it to Hospira service center for repairs..
There are 2 plastic lobes on the disposable cassette which are used to detect air in line. There is a clear / white tiny button insider the cassette tray which is pressed to clear and reset any errors.
@@BetterBiomedChannel I already press the button and the equipment erases the errors, but when I put the cassette back in, the same error "N184 Prox Occl A/ Air" comes out. the pump has 2 plastics inside the cassette, one white and one black. black is broken. I think it's the occlusion sensors. I have a photo, I can send it to you by mail please help.
@@BetterBiomedChannel Just started working as a biomed 1 and sometimes the manuals are overly complicated and it is really hard to find good pm videos. But anyways appraciate a lot what you do!
There are several study guides available but cbet study groups might help more. I personally like the flash cards to find your strengths and weaknesses
@@BetterBiomedChannel thanks, so I guess any of them will do. I was googling stuff and there were so many different ones. I did see a site with a book and flash cards though so thanks
Thank you Better BioMed. You're doing a great job educating people with right knowledge.
:)
Using the AVI plums since 1988. Before then, we had iVacs. They had this laser that you’d attach onto the drip chamber that counted the drops.

I believe Alaris is a linear peristaltic pump.

Hi any recommendations on where I can find some good study material for BMET1?
I'd start here: Biomed Basics: ruclips.net/p/PL5CYegjtMCQ4U0JiMgKLch69AxSyAYDMW
I am trying to study for the cbet. Any idea on the best source of study material?
