@@a.m.rifkia.3rd493To be honest I already know Luxembourg is one of the richest countries in the world. But I didn’t expect them to go all out and take it seriously haha
@@a.m.rifkia.3rd493 Luxembourg is very rich but RTL is not. This level production is a surprise and has been possible with the help of the israeli production
It might be a detail, but I love that Luxembourg did a part of this year's ESC staging for their own national final stage. It gives a really good idea of what it could look like in May. And Tali will slay for sure !
after seeing all the performances, I immediately still put her/her song first, with Krick coming close second; therefore i am so glad that she won, even I though I would not mind Krick as well.
Out of 6 entries we have so far 2,5 are in English and 3,5 in a language other than English. I would love to keep these proportions till the end (with all love and respect for the beautifil English language).
Tali is my front runner at this moment in time. The song has an amaaaaazing hook! It's closely followed by Slovenia right now but I'm confident Luxembourg will make it through. It's a really strong bop, I love having more French in Eurovision and she's not a copy of anything, like, vocally or stylewise etc. So yeah call me happy! Luxembourg knows how to do Eurovision :)
I really hope Luxembourg can qualify with this song. So they can comeback again next year and not withdraw like Monaco in 2007 after competing in 2006.
Shame she apparently dedicated this song to her brother that is in idf😬 Hoping it’s not true obv but idk.. Anyway let me not focus on that and talk about the song: it isn’t really for me but I do think she probably had the best performance. It could qualify possibly depending on what she’s up against in the semi
From the point of how much competition Tali will have in terms of pop girlies, I think that as of right now (1/27/2024) her biggest competition is Silia Kapsis, Kaleen, Dotter (if she wins MelFest), and potentially Marina Satti.
@@yaelmeyer348 true. But I was mostly talking about basic pop girlies. From the small leak we have of Silias song, we can tell that it's a basic dance pop song, along with kaleen. That makes 3 pop songs that sound pretty similar
This song gives me "Like It" by Zena. It's cute, kinda basic (not necessarily in a bad way, sometimes basic is good), and she sells it with her look and her performance. This could defenetly qualify.
i was pretty indifferent to this song, but I was really disappointed when she said that the song (which is called "Fighter") is dedicate to her brother who fights in the Israeli army
I hope I’m wrong… but I get a Croatia 2021 feel from this. I like it, it will be in my top 15 but the end of the season. I feel like they need the ‘easy’ semi final and maybe voting in their Germany, France in their semi too.
The only thing is that Croatia 2021 would have qualified under the current voting system, and that was in a year filled with female bops with the exact same colour scheme and similar outfits, as well as being in one of the strongest semis in recent memory. I do agree that they may finish in a similar placing to Croatia in the televote in the semi, but it should be enough this year with this voting system. I don't get the vibe there will be quite as many of those bops this year, and even then I think there's enough to stand out here.
I'v just blewn by her bio - jerusalem born (on palestinian side) to the peruvian-jewish parents, chile-argentina-luxembourg raised and new-york based! Miss Worldwide lol
I'm really annoyed that simply on the fact that one of her parents is Israeli she's already being pulled into one direction and another by both sides of the aisle, and she hasn't even said anything either way.
I think it is more about the people surrounding her than herself. The producer of the whole selection, Tali’s team and supporters.. there is a lot of things going on around her, even if she might be a nice girl
She did though, she was interviewed by Euromix, the Israeli eurovision channel, in hebrew. She loves israel and visits every year a couple times. She's an israeli queen
@@toottoot75”we love her for this” get a grip. I’ve never heard a person say they love someone for being born from a certain place, less so a genocidal la la land.
When Luxembourg released the radio cut of their selection, I was a little worried. This song is okay but the performance really pulled it off. I still wish Krick's song was chosen, but I will say the staging of this was on point. Is this a winner? No. But will some people like the performance? Yes. And because I have nobody else to talk about the missed potential of Krick's staging, I'm just going to include it here lol: Perhaps they wanted to keep the staging simple, but you can do simple with a little extra oomph. First I think she should've held the mic so she can move around a bit for dynamism. Like she could've started in the back looking away or down. Then as the song builds, look up and walk forward and then at the climax either sing into the skies or crouch down in emotional agony and belt out her feelings. I think that kind of theatrics would have sold the performance even more than being static and just standing there. Just my two cents anyways.
It’s not a bad song and her voice is fine but the constant - and very audible - intake of breath is really taking me out of the moment. I would enjoy it a lot more if she could somehow stop doing that quite so much. Not sure if it’s a control thing or a matter of constitution but that would be what I would focus on improving.
Had huge expectations from a country that has produced some of the best songs in the history of the contest but no, this is more of what we get year after year after year, big disappointment :(
This is cute entry, the song is catchy, I like that there is French in lyrics too and it has great staging potential, but this song is just so derivative and something I heard so many times. She'll qualify and potentially come TOP 10, but the song is very unoriginal.
Honestly, with that NF's production value, Luxembourg is ready to host the actual contest if they win haha

Nice song, from luxemburg.
As much as i was a hater for the songs, i must admit, pretty much all of them were delivered properly. Solid vocals all around.
