He’s probably one of the best characters at recovering around Steve. The only time it’s a problem is recovering from right below the stage, but you only get sent at that angle if you get spiked, and Steve won’t have time to set up blocks if he goes for that half that time
Nah as a Steve player usually you can block cheese certain characters but you don't really block Yoshi's recovery, it doesn't work most of the time he just jumps through or past it unless you maybe have something like stone or iron blocks and he's recovering from the bottom blastzone.
As a Japanese person, I am very happy that Yoshidora, who has continued to lose to Acola, has finally won in public, but I would like to let everyone know that Acola is incredibly strong even after experiencing defeat once.

the commentators saying that Acola doesnt need diamond, but in fact they're not even aware of the situation. Theres a reason for that, if steve gets the diamond weapon and dies he lose it. That's why Acola kept using the wood and saved the diamond for his last stock in case he needed it. The lack of experience that most people have against Steve is astounishing.
I didn't bother watching this set even after I saw that Yoshidora was up 2-1; I thought Acola would clutch once more. But no statistic lasts forever, and for the first time in a long time, Acola lost before winner quarter-finals of a major tournament, lost to Yoshidora after beating like 4 times in a row, and lost a game 5 last stock situation(the last one has become a little less rare, but only a little).

Every character has 7 frames of intangibility when they come out Yoshi's egg. It's something that Yoshis have to respect and play around.
