Hi, may I ask how the maitenance program is working? If I understood correctly it turns on every hour and so the test. Why so often? Can I change for example once a week? If I imagine that I would like to keep it on the bike for 6 months during winter so what would be the electricity consumption. Thank you for the feedback
Hi! We cannot predict what the user might do with the charger connected, or what accessories (built-in or aftermarket) are continuously drawing power, we need to ensure the battery remains fully charged. Secondly, it eliminates sulphation - the process of lead-sulphate hardening on the plates. During long term maintenance the lead-acid battery self discharges and connected circuitry draws small amounts of current. Lead-sulphate is created when the battery is discharged and when re-charged, the lead-sulphate is reconverted to lead and sulphate is returned to the electrolyte (made up of diluted sulphuric acid). We also deliver a low current desulphation pulse during the 30 minutes charge period, to break up hardened lead-sulphate. The charger consumes around 12Wh per day, or 360Wh per month. Over a 6 month period that would be 2160Wh, or 2.2 kWh.
Hi! If LEDs 5, 6 and 7 continuously flash on and off every 10 seconds, there is something wrong with the charger. You have a 2-year warranty in Europe, so please contact us via the contact form on our website: tecmate.com/contact/
Disconnect the charger from AC power first. Connect the battery clips to the charger and then connect the negative clip directly to the positive clip. Reconnect the charger to AC power. How to know you switched the program from standard to CAN-bus: With the battery clips still connected, LED #3 and LED #4 should flash together at regular intervals with LED #8 immediately following. If only POWER LED#1 is on, then you switched the program from CAN-bus to standard. Disconnect the battery clips.
BEWARE...Know issue with this item. It can fail and drain your battery totally. I'm now on my 3rd battery on a 2022 GS...No more Can-Bus charging for me!!
We would like to know more about how you charge your GS, and what extra accessories (GPS, etc.;) are on your GS. We are happy to look at where the problems may lie. Below 8-9V the CAN-bus is no longer active, but therefore the battery is not broken, so it can easily be saved.

Regards Kev
Hi Kev, yes it is!
My LEDs 567 flash on and off every 10 seconds? What does this mean?

I don't understand how you change it to can bus mode
