Personally, I got my mother to switch from using spincast to spinning, and she ended up monopolizing my St. Croix Legend elite panfish and Shimano Vanford(ended up being her Christmas present), so I upgraded to bfs, knowing she can't cast baitcaster. Also, I love using baitcasters over spinning.
@@RXAngler The accuracy is something I had not thought of. I would think the drag system would be better in a spinning set up. I haven't tried bfs yet but I'm sure it is something I will dabble in later on down the road.
@@percussionalobsecration6178 thanks for the reply! I prefer casting myself but I worry about fighting 7+ pound bass on 8 pound test with a bfs reel when I know the drag on my shimano reels can handle it with ease.
@FullTimeFishing That is an understandable concern. Since I started using bfs, I have gone with the Japanese braided lines, which are pretty thin and strong. You can get a reasonable amount of line on them without affecting casting too much. My Aldebaran has about 7lbs of drag, so it becomes more of a battle to wear the fish down enough to land them. If I know that I will get into larger fish, I can step up to a middle point between bfs and normal baitcaster with the Metanium shallow spool on a light power rod, or go full on with a normal baitcaster. Personally, I like the challenge of fighting fish on lighter gear.
Cool catches bro... tight lines..
I hope everyone reading this catches their pb this spring!
😂😂 first cast got my heart pumping 😂😂😂😂
🤪
Outstanding
Thanks David!
I like the equipment you recommended thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching.
Nice Trout man! 🔥🔥🔥
Appreciate it!!
I used your lure yesterday to catch a 16” and 25” red plus a small spec. 👍
🫶
Nick, I know your bracket is busted. Your early fish predictions are so funny.
😂
I use a cast net and fish with the bait there eating
GLASS MINNOWS!
Indeed
can you try zman slim swimz 2.5'
Gotta love it bud. I can't wait to get back out.
🙌
where is that?
Great vid as always! What Marsh is that and could you get a boat in there?
Great video! Question for you. Why do you use bfs over spinning gear?
Baitcast reels are faster, accurate, and lighter in general.

Any word on the lew’s ss
Did u get the new midnight wader rod from old 18 I love it
No, I need one.
Tried using old 18 code but wasn’t working
Send them an email. I think there’s a glitch in the system. They will get you squared away.
Fishing report?
🤙
Would you like to check out my rod? I have seen different species bite it
The micro baits are why I love bfs gear. Have you tried the Zman micro shrimp? They look like they might work well in the marsh waters you fish.
Shrimp lures work really well.
