The Future of Higher Education

UW-Madison is one of the leading public universities in the world, but a recent report by the Wisconsin Policy Forum shows that the UW is starting to fall behind some of its peers. Maybe it is time to do some sifting and winnowing in our own backyard… By what metrics have we fallen behind? What are the implications? What underlying factors have caused the decline and what are the most effective remedies to this situation? How is the pandemic changing higher education - both at the UW and across the board - and how will this affect efforts to reverse course?
