At the beginning of the tournament, I was more concerned about the state of the women's game - with Barty retiring, Osaka taking a break then getting pregnant Swiantek unchallenged , Halep suspendedand Jabeur, Rybankina, Murguruza and Zheng and others who have legendary level skills but wildly inconsistent at time it seemed as though there wasn't much to hope for. Instead we see the most consistent male players injured or all beating up on each other, paving a ridiculously easy road for Djokovic a boring men's final and one of the best women's finals literally in ages with high level and great shots from start to finish.. *shrugs*
The Kenin vs Muguruza final was very good at AO 2020. Kvitova vs Osaka AO 2019 was also good. We all know what happened in 2021 and 2022. 2023 was a continuación. You need to watch those matches because obviously you haven't unless an age is 2 years for you. Halep vs Sharapova was the last epic 3 setter at RG 2014 but RG 2018 with Sloane and Halep was high quality. Muguruza vs Serena was good the two times they did a final. I think Sabalenka has also worked out her own game, and is also now a major force. And both are such nice people.
