      Yep.. media will be the media. Time to tip Ten Hag to bits until he has to be sacked by Man U then say, 'bit harsh by Man U'. He'll then go win something elsewhere in Europe and they'll be like 'See he was great!' When he's gone maybe they'll jump back on Harry Maguire, see if they can cause him to lose his mind and spiral into depression then they can say 'poor Maguire..'

He also recommended Alvarez, Enzo, Nkunku, Gvardiol to the club as potential signings before they got their big moves but the media at the time were all like "I wouldn't take any advice Rangnick gave me". @@jamieh4357absolutely right. He recommended Vlahovic, Gakpo, Morata and Laimer too, as well as the ones you mentioned. All the pundits laughed at him when he said MUs first team needs about 10 new players. Half the team left that summer, we brought 6 new players in and it still hasn’t been anywhere near enough. He exposed the club, it was well overdue, and pundits want to act like he didn’t exist

      @jamieh4357 6 месяцев назад +13

      @@jayasmiah6617 That's true and ultimately his best role what he should have been hired as, never a manager. He's an elite sporting director which is REALLY what Man Utd needed since Fergie to start behaving like a proper football club. The media and powers at be within Utd used his caretaker manager stint (when the players had already failed to perform for one manager that season) to discredit him completely in every way. Rangnick clearly made too many people at the club who are in post not on merit feel threatened so they got rid of him.

  • @Lexington365

    Something has happened over the summer for him to lose this dressing room. Firstly I don't think releasing David De Gea for free and replacing him with Onana has gone down well at all with the players. Easily United's best player over the last 10 years and Onana does not look like an upgrade at all. Secondly the Jadon Sancho stand off has clearly caused some division within the squad and looks to be hanging around like a bit of a bad smell. Thirdly the off field disciplinary issues with Greenwood and Antony. We are not entirely sure what's going on with either player as Greenwood is technically still a United player and the Antony accusations seem to have gone quiet, at least publicly. And lastly it was clear Ten Hag wanted Maguire, McTominay and Martial out of the club in the summer. Due to injuries and poor performances from other players he has had to reintegrate them. So you have a decent chunk of the first team squad having to play for a manager who doesn't want them. All in all its a bit of a mess!

    When Sir Alex left, Mourinho should have been appointed immediately. Say what you want, but he's still the king. United were progressing, but the final season was a mess. The problem with the club starts at the ownership/board. They backed the doping fool Pogba over Mourinho and you also had Ed Woodward getting involved and blocking some transfers. Mourinho won the community Shield, EFL cup and Europa League his debut season and was runner up the next season in the Premier League and FA Cup. That can't go unnoticed and it's a shame they gave up on him when they did. He's a serial winner and got Roma to two consecutive European finals. Everything he said was right and Ronaldo was right. This club is getting exactly what they deserve and the vast majority of the current players aren't good enough to represent Manchester United. The current manager is an idiot and disrespecting Ronaldo, De Gea and Sancho was a huge mistake.

    • @Ryan-ys2bq
      @Ryan-ys2bq 6 месяцев назад

      Been saying this it was elements of maxing out points in close games and taking hidings, there were no standout performances all season and 1-0s at home. If you replayed the season 10 times they end up with less points every time and the likes of Liverpool and Spurs get their act together in at least 5 of them.
      There’s a thing in the NFL where if you win by a single score a lot of times in a season then the next season unless you make a mass improvement in the draft the decline will happen, last year the Vikings went 11-0 (13-4 record) in one score games and are 4-4 this year, a few years ago the Raiders went 8-2 and won 11 total but then won only 4 or 5 the next season.

    When sir Alex took the job ManUTD was 21st in the league table. In his first season club finished 11th, then he took 4-5 years to write his legacy with the club. In that 4-5 years ManUTD was a lower mid table team. So have patience and Club needs to replace the players. Ten Hag doesn't have options and players are not playing for the badge and the manager. Club need to replace who are not developing and performing it's simple as that. Another thing, club need to hire proper director of football like Paul mitchell, Van dar sar who can help managers to bring players who suits his style without breaking the bank as last 10 years going on. Managers should be asked can his choice player whos asking price is 90 million repay with his performance or he will be a baggage to the squad. And board should support ruthless nature of managers to maintain discipline, it's non sense that dressing room got problem with their manager because he took disciplinary steps for Sancho, dropped Maguire. We complain he using his favoritism card on the field but he doesn't have options.
    Right now board should keep their tabs open and watch managers, list them. Let Ten hag finish this season and i will suggest give him support till his contract ends then bring out the lists of managers been collected and decide should they replace TenHag or keep him.

    Behave Simon, you sit on the fence all the time with Ten Haag. There is not a manager out there that can restore United to previous glory. The owners, football recruitment, players like Martial etc need to be put out the door and start from square 1

      As a Geordie I hate to say it but I reckon if you gave Eddie Howe a few hundred million and 3 years he'd get Man U back in the Prem League title hunt again. Never going to happen though, thank God.

    Ten Hag spend transfer money wrong... insted of buying DM he bought AMs like Mount, like Antony like striker Hojlund, he should keep Gk or playing with backup goalie insted of buying Onana for 50mil...

    The stats show that united are a better team with Maguire in than not in the squad. Just as much of a fact is that in the last 3 games United have conceded 6 goals in the last 2 games and the last person to score was Harry Maguire 😂.
    Varane is constantly injured and seems to be susceptible constantly to being on the sidelines unlike. Harry Maguire.
    Start of last season it was Martinez who was the problem until Ten Hag shifted the blame to take the highlight off Maguire simply by dropping him.

    strange that jim doesnt have the same praise for city fans who put up with nearly 30 years of absolute garbage, but 30 thousand used to turn up week in week out in league 1, and had bigger crowds than chelsea when they won the league in 2005

      Ole is the best manager in United after SAF, only one who have gotten any type of success in CL. Noone cares about EL

      @crustyflakes3861 They got second in the league ahead of the best Liverpool side ever (not my words) and CL winner that year Chelsea and as I said Ole is the only one who have given United fans something to celebrate in CL.

      @crustyflakes3861 well I didnt say it was an achievement did I? I said it was the bes United had done sense SAF and you know they havent won the league since SAF so second is as good as it becomes. You rather have some cup noone cares about over playing in Champions League playoffs? Thats crazy to me

      Zidane isn’t even that good of a coach for Christ sake hence why he’s not at Madrid still and doesn’t matter who takes over if they sack him the players will have 1 good season and maybe win a trophy then they will do the same thing as they have done for over 10 years start giving up becuase they don’t have it in them to carry on and try every single game

      He shouldn’t be sacked for this same set of players to cry about another manager coming in they will start of great win some games then down tools and cry again the players are rotten not the manager even Leicester managed to win the league so come on it’s not always management or the owners the players are useless

    Something is fundamentally wrong at Utd! There was a time when Giggs was in charge and wanted the job so bad, but then the Utd hierarchy undermined him and bring in Solskjaer who played im the same team as Giggs! Yeah Solskjaer might have had some managerial experience but come on, Giggs looked hungry and knew Utd through and through!!! Thats was a warning sign back then!! The problems have got worse since!!!
