Having just watched Schindlers List, its weird to see Fiennes and Neeson acting like this
Hades was actually the eldest of Kronos' children. He was stronger even than Zeus. In the actual mythology, he had more than enough power to defeat any other Olympian god on his own. He simply chose not to, even after Zeus tricked him into becoming the jailer of the damned. He forgave his brother all the same.
This version of Hades is quite a bit more wrathful than the mythological depiction, but they actor they chose makes it work.
Mr. Popo agreed that’s why I say Hollywood needs to tell those stories , Zeus vs hades , zeus vs Hera , Poseidon vs Athena . The love affair between Aries and Aphrodite ! These stories would definitely get people’s attention!
Hestia was the oldest, actually, then Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, and finally Zeus.

@Fernando Alves if you are going to make scientific, cognitive model based analogies like unconscious, conscious etc.. you cannot really separate the unconscious from emotion, or emotion from conscious. Perhaps you are taking liberty with the reduction of something that is not to be understood by mortals? I would think a god would be a bit less, simple.

Hollywood needs to make a movie where the gods are the stars! Theirs so much drama between each other and I feel that those stories are not being told all the way!

A bit tricky considering there are still people who worship these gods today and they might not be happy with how Hollywood portrays them. Imagine making a movie about the Christian God’s life... everyone would freak out.

Hades was not just a god; he's a very good actor as well. Ralph Fiennes eclipses them all gods.

My thoughts on the Gods and their designs and acting
-Hermes: His robe's shape kind of resembles a satchel, bit like the messenger god he is, and his outfit is less flowy, since hes a messenger and he runs and flies around a lot, which explains the wings on his boots, nice touch. And from the scenes he has in the film, I'd say he plays the messenger role alright.
-Apollo: The sword/spear is a good weapon choice, the armor and the cape is something Apollo would defo wear, and having Luke Evans, who's quite the handsome chap play him, was perfect, since he is a bit of a charmer. From the deleted scenes he has with Perseus, he acted our the relationship between them pretty well.
-Hestia: Maybe can stand out a bit more as the Goddess of Homes and Protection?
-Hera: She can stand out a bit more since she is Queen, but "Enjoy their wives" was a perfect Hera line. And her seat being next to Zeus like Poseidon is a nice touch.
-Hephaestus: The design has a blacksmith vibe to it, but he can stand out a bit more as the Blacksmith God of Fire.
-Athena: Maybe can have a more myth accurate design choice such as the owl and the helmet and armor, but having the snake, which is an Athena symbol for her power, and her line towards Poseidon (Odyssey) was a nice touch.
-Aphrodite: The hair and outfit is pretty myth accurate, and the line "Their love feeds us" is an Aphrodite line for sure.
-Artemis: Not young enough since she is Apollos sister, and maybe can have a myth accurate outfit. But in the movie, if we look carefully, her bow and arrows are tucked behind her seat, so nice touch.
-Demeter: Can stand out more as the Goddess of Harvest, but i guess having brown armor is a nice touch.
-Ares: Has the right tone of voice, armor, sword, and line "Paint the walls with their blood" (God of War), but the actor can be younger since he is son of Zeus.
-Poseidon: Pretty accurate, trident, armor, and tone of voice as the King of the Seas.
Nothing needs to be said about Zeus and Hades, but reminder, Hades is not a villainous god....

Man except from the ending these deleted sense made more sense. And we got to know the characters that we saw at the strategy of the movie.
This depiction of the gods is awesome, but it's strange they are decked out in elaborate armor. I prefer the original 1981 movie where the gods are wearing simple white robes.

That would make sense if they were going into battle but they're just standing there doing administrative stuff.

There should be another sequence to Clash of the Titans these are good movies to remake with the right actors and actresses

Very big. Mistake in the scenario script cause Apollo will never dare to stand or speak badly like that to hades or Poseidon cause both can finish him in one second, even far from the sea.
For Poseidon even far from the underworld for Hades
Unfortunately this movie has underrated the power of Poseidon so much .

Hades doesn't Fucking ASK a hole Zeus for ANYTHING!!! He does as he does because he IS A GOD!!! THE DAMN OLDEST FOR FUCK SAKE, Zeus was just lucky his mom didn't wanna let him be eaten by his dad.
They should have kept this scene.
Some of the dialogue is terrible but when Olympus is on screen and the gods deliver their lines, it's great. The one thing I disliked about Hades is that cheesy voice but his lines are very good.

Yeah. Zeus didn't create humans. Prometheus did. And in return Zeus chained him to a rock with a eagle who pecked away at his liver for eternity. And then Zeus basked in the humanity's prayers to him. He's a straight up asshole.
We Indian still worship our god & godess, but you Western people have lost your god before Christianity, Middle eastern lost their god before Islam, Egyptian lost their god before Islam.
But we Indian, world's Oldest Civilization, have still sustained our ancient culture.
But this movie has almost nothing to do with what truly happened within Greek myth

Fiennes would have made Hades a much better character with his regular voice rather than his Voldemort voice.

Interesting that they would call it the Kraken instead of the Greek name Cetus? After all it is a Greek story, so why the cop out there. It is on the Internet. It is also a snake like creature nothing like the Kraken ( from Davy Jone's locker) pirate tales. Every civilization has their creatures of the deep. Definitely not Leviathan as Ancient Greece was CENTURIES before the BIBLE. (why not Voldemort or Klingon?) Why mess with the actual historical name? We all have Google and can look it up. THe movie would have been so much better with these extra scenes in them. IT gave the GOds more depth and the movie would feel more epic.
I love how Hades seems to act feeble and weak here but he's actually the strongest of the brothers. :) Ralph did a good job as him as I suspected since he played Voldemort in Harry Potter.

I wished Apollo played a bigger role in Clash of the Titans. He was great in the deleted scenes...and one of my favorite Gods to learn about while taking Greek Mythology class.

Why did they delete these important scenes? Without them the movie doesn't make much sense...but they really did a poor job on the goddesses. Those wigs are dreadful, and why a pink wig and why does Athena look Scandinavian? Even Hades, he should be beautiful like a god, not frightening like a monster. They really shat all over Greek mythology. But I love the take of the gods needing to be worshipped to survive.
