finally, we've found the use for winter
I always planted winter seeds for profits, but Seanie’s method definitely tossed me in the icy ocean waves.
I usually gp fishing during winter because im busy every other season
I just go fishing and mining since I have more time.
I use winter for mining and fishing as well as gift giving. Most of the year I drill out planting crops. Unless it's a rain day
I decorate my farm on winter lol
Seanie really went all anticapitalistic at the end to justify his "clickbaity" title, and I can get behind that

Joja never puts Pierre's out of business but Pierre does have a monopoly at the end. If joja had better prices than Pierre then sure I could see why they'd be a stereotypical big corp hurting small businesses but that's not the case.

Is joja the dark side? truly? or is supporting the corrupt union of pierre and lewis, the two most evil men in all of stardew, who would let the 99% rot and die for their own personal gain, the true dark side. Should joja and all of it's beuracracy, and it's structure, and it's heavy regulation based mindset, not be allowed to take control from the man who uses taxpayer founds to build golden statues of himself, uses public office to give his love interest a business advantage, and the shop keeper who if not on a leash by said evil mayor woulkd have his own megacorp.
Joja is the light side, the church of lewis and pierre is lying to you hunter.

I like the idea of capitalism in the sense you get to make your own money and not have it tied to the government giving it out. But big corporations cause so many problems that I can see why so many people hate capitalism as a whole

@fie I think he's annoying, he doesn't treat Abigail well imo (she shouldn't sword fight bc she's a girl). He constantly tries to raise prices until people can't afford his stuff. Also the stuff I grow and put in the shipping bin goes to his store, and then he sells that and brags about how well HE grew them. (some things are just how the game works, I just love hating him. It's fun to have an enemy)

Okay i get that the hundreds of hours for 140k gold is like hyperbole but what is an average amount for like 1 year? I'm mid spring year 2 and have around 400k total earnings and something like 130k currently in my first proper save.

Honestly the JoJa route is better in my opinion. The only thing you miss out on is the friendship boost when you finish all the community center & the items that come with the bundles. Someone also said you can’t build Jumino Huts but u can? So idk why they lied or were misinformed. You also get a Joja vending machine. It’s also super easy. Joja route is criminally underrated

(I.E. is completing the foraging bundles or boiler room bundles quicker than farming the equivalent amount of money needed to get access to the quarry or fixing the minecarts)
