That is a very simplified explanation of this movie. It is gut-wrenching and I don't think he should have gone to prison for what he did. He just found Justice for his sister
This film was gut wrenching, makes you think twice before complaining about stupid things. The fact that these are real people in their life setting and not professional actors makes it that much more powerful
Capernaum is a fictional story, these aren’t real people in real situations nor are they based off of real people. It is definitely a gut wrenching story bc this type of stuff does happen but this situation isn’t real, it’s just a movie.
@ShitMaster7156 I wasn't saying it's a documentary or anything, but these aren't professional actors, most never acted before and it was shot in actual poverty stricken neighborhoods and depicts what life is like. I believe they call it a docudrama. Here's a quote from an article that better explains what I mean:

@@animallover7741Unfortunately, in the Middle East, this kind of thing does not only happen to Muslim communities but all other religious communities. I myself I'm not Muslim. And yet this kind of thing happened in my community, but these are all just individuals. It's not like it's accepted in society.
I am glad in my country, child marriage is strictly prohibited and it is highly punishable offense. In addition to that. In our community, today women are more educated compared to the past and they are thinking and behaving independently especially about marriage and kids. They are the key person who decide whether they are going to have kids and if they are, how many of them.
I am glad that we don't live in such a horror and to my surprise, even if the underage marriages was existed in my country in the past. Those marriages were never any forcible marriages but they were love marriages like 14-15 age couple starting a family.
Now even such things don't exist anymore and I am happy to see women are being so independent and live in freedom. But when I see those things come from other part of the world. I feel so sorry for girls, women and all those who have to suffer through these horrors.
I'm not sure what country you are from but im glad for you. Here in the USA, our government is working hard to bring the age of consent much lower than it is. My daughter friend who studies Human Rights did they want to bring it down to 13 years. It sickens me to think that we live in a country with the largest child sexual predators in the entire world. There is even a move by an ex CIA Tim Ballard who speaks of this.

When I was 14 one of my teacher was making a sleepover with some other teachers and other 13-14 years old students
We were supposed to sleep in some classes which was so cool, we took pull-out couches from the corridor

The hospital didn't took her in because she didn't have any documents

People always ask me why do i have a corvette late spec and a real old junk car that i use often. I say that when u grow up dirt poor and struggling with no food and chasing of debt collectors as a 10 year old by lieing on behalf of your single mom, you learn alot. I may have money and afford whatever i want but that old car keeps me humble and the corvette is to let poor people know that they can have one too someday.
His sister died because of her cruel husband but his parents were not worried, in fact happy as his mother was pregnant again and hoping for a girl, hence he sued his parents for bringing him into these hell.
While there isn't a name for this particular video, a great movie on point to watch is "Sound of Freedom ".

The sister was far way too young, to even be considered into marriage she was forced into by her brother.
