@@britneysackor16 because the trend was made by black people to branch out from the basic y2k aesthetic so calling it “ cyber ghetto y2k “ is basically saying anything we do is too over the top or too demeaning because of our race.

if I (a non black individual) were to wear this style, would that. be offensive in any way? bc I mainly see black individuals with this style and I don't want to do anything offensive
Hey! That’s a great question thanks for asking. I think you can definitely wear this style but also you should educate yourself on where it comes from. So as you know this style was created by black people but apps like Pinterest and social media discredits us by putting white women to the forefront all while pushing the black influence out of view because in the early 2000s it was “ghetto” but now everyone see’s this style as something they’d love to wear so that is super annoying because black people don’t get enough credit when it comes to trends in general .
Hey! For guys I you can still use baggy jeans customized or not, vintage hoodies from the 2000s and baggy vintage y2k t shirts as for sneakers anything that’s a Jordan’s 1 or anytype of Jordan 4s(it’s up to you for shoe choice tbh). Also accessorize with rimless glasses and vintage y2k hats/fitted caps. I really think that it’s better to use cyber Y2k Aesthetic as a term instead because cyber ghetto has a weird connotation if yk what I mean.
Personally I think anyone can adopt this style as long as you know where it comes from and under stand that this style originated from black culture so basically give credit where it’s due and you’re good to go ! :D
🥺😭🤍 tysm I’ve been trying to grow this summer ! Please if you have any video suggestions let me know because I’m kinda lost on what to film at the moment

@@ROGUEXUNT lol i was kidding!! cuz a lot of ppl say that for no reason when that's not part of the vid but thank u for clarifying , all the girls on here are beautiful
Honestly you can wear the style, but you know give credit where it's due. The reason black ppl hate it when non black ppl where something that we popularized or invented is because most white ppl don't give credit or disrespect it sometimes. So yeah, it's ok to wear this style (not speaking for all black ppl) just make sure to give credit and you no do it some respect cause I love this style and my fav idols wore this style. (Ps, stop speaking for black people yall-).
