    I think Hobi is worried not about filling the audience but facing a huge arena after such a long time. Pharrell talked about this, talking to RM. He has difficulty with the energy of a really huge audience. It's easy to forget that BTS grew up in the business having each other. They go on stage feeling supported. It makes it normal and comfortable for them. Do you remember when Jin kidnapped Hobi. It took him a a little bit to relax. There was a comment Hobi made about being much more guarded now. He's chosing his first venues like dipping his toe in the water. He is a natural.performer. so I think the venue sizes should have got progressively larger. That would be better.

    your assessment of YG's "fake it till you make it" posturing is correct. bigbang was popular, but not as big as it was positioned. so far they have only sold under five million albums. TVXQ!, super junior, and shinee were bigger in terms of sales. 🙄 even g-dragon in his entire career a solo artist covering 15 years has sold less than 1.2-million albums. in comparison, each BTS member have sold more than one million albums for their solo albums in a two-year period. 🙄.

      I never knew this until I looked into it myself. If you look at who held the highest album sales, even during big bangs peak eras, it’s SJ and snsd for 2010-2012, and exo for 2013-2015. BTS has owned the ‘best selling album’ title for 7 years in a row after that.

      Exactly. I do feel a bit sad for acts that clearly sell more or have more fans but get overshadowed by the loud noise of mediaplay of others. It really gives a false perception not only to the general public but the artist's themselves. We see this with western artists who get a disappointing realization when they can't sell out even half the venue or have to downgrade concert venues etc, considering this is how many make real revenue that's less money in the artists pocket.

    I think I have finally understood what is the problem of many (not all!) ARMYs with blackpink. It’s exactly as you said, blackpink has an image of a luxurious and exclusive act throwing away money for funsies while ARMYs know the hardships of BTS and how BTS didn’t have enough money to eat properly, to sleep in proper rooms, to perform, were disrespected for being this “broke” in comparison to such blackpink-esque kpop acts, everyone was bragging about their status and success meanwhile BTS ate dust for some while. This.. is just basic empathy, not hatred but empathy and rage towards the industry. I can understand that and probably my biggest problem with bp is the same. I mostly don’t care about them nowadays, I tried to care but empty music with no creativity is just demotivating, and by a coincidence always after a creative era when I thought “oh so they can be good! I should wait for their other comeback to finally tune into them like a fan” they had some of their worst songs ever to exist in my taste. It did hurt me in the past but now a choice between female groups is a lot bigger than before and my heart and mind has chosen le sserafim, im satisfied with it so much that I was able to let bp go for good, im not concerned about them in a good way. Sorry to share even such a cringe thing but I had some rare dreams where I was a manager of an idol party event, everyone I knew of idols was there and in my dreams I was always respectful to bp and smiled at them sincerely, I felt grateful to every group present there so it’s not like I hate bp, my unconscious self respects them. It’s just when you see someone of a “higher than anyone” wannabe act being compared to “from zero to hero” class act you start feeling annoyed sometimes

      I agree with you! I got into kpop with BP and I really liked them, but then I started to listening to BTS and knowing about their story and how were treated and I distanced myself more from BP. They're actually talented, in their own ways, but they're overrated and had everything easier, even in their solo careers. But I actually don't have any problem if BTS members listen or dance to their music, I actually wish they have more interactions in the future. I'm also getting into Le sserafim they're so good.

      @@beraty.6899 I don't think you understand the comment at all! The comment refers to a sense of meritocracy and organic growth armys see on BTS and the " Fake till you make it" that was mentioned on the live on BP's career. It is Ok for you to have a diferent opinion, but is not ok to say another's opinion is just "jealousy ans insecurity".

      You’ve given me a lot of food for thought. I agree with you about why I prefer BTS music vs BP music. BTS lyrics are layered and well thought out as well and musically pleasing and emotive. To me, BTS’ music nourishes the souls while most others produce a cacophony of noise with little substance. I don’t like most of the kpop girl groups because of the “concept” or image the present to young girls. I have daughters and I’ve always taught them to behave and dress modestly and lady-like with respect for others and themselves and to impress people with their knowledge and ability not to pretend like they’re a cutesy brainless giggly child. I’m not a prude but behavior and concepts the like of the Kardashians disgust me. That’s my opinion anyway.

    1:10:16 BTS was never booked in the first place. They didn't cancel and there was nothing last minute, so also nothing to make up for. MBC just arrogantly assumed that BTS would perform, and was offended when BTS had better things to do.

    Super. Nie wiedziałam o Busan ale dzięki tobie ciągle się uczę za co jestem wdzięczna, bo daje to inną perspektywę patrzenia na sprawy, a to chroni przed brakiem szacunku do inności. Tak się składa, że na temat socjalizmu i komunizmu dużo wiem, bo urodziłam się i żyłam w takim kraju. Pomimo, że byliśmy i jesteśmy narodem niepokornych ludzi to socjalizm wypacza umysły. Zwija ludzki umysł w strachu i wyzwala najgorsze instynkty, że dziecko wyda rodziców a żona męża. Nie chcę się rozwodzić bo tematy bolesne i kanał nie poświęcony polityce ale nie polecam życia w takich krajach, nawet gdy mówi się górnolotnie o socjaliźmie demokratycznym.

    • @Sherluck93
      @Sherluck93 11 дней назад +7

      No, there isn't. And it's not the time to do this now. But maybe in the future we'll compile it all, as it'll surely come up again. For now, it's a puzzle of many resources. Also, we're always very careful to have proof, so some pieces are still missing. But as you know, Army is always looking and educating themselves. We have all the receipts. It would be great to one day see the whole picture, at least for the first 10 yrs.

      @Sherluck93 My blood is boiling with rage. New Army needs to know the full extent of the mistreatment. Perhaps it will fuel them to be more protective and supportive of OT7 against the haters. 2 of the incidents she mentioned was new info for me.

      No there isn't as far as i am concerned. But check out BTS mistreatment (or something like this, can't remember the exact name of it) by xceleste, or Why the Music Industry is Afraid of BTS by Boracity Magazine. Both are quite good and lists out the mistreatment faced by BTS, and how they battle the music industry. Both are very informative, especially Boracity Magazine, her other videos are also very very good. I'd say, a must watch for all baby ARMYs

    • @Sherluck93
      @Sherluck93 11 дней назад +2

      @bereasonable8018 Yes, one was the Busan One Asia festival, which was the other one?
      The issue is that this education needs to be quite clear-cut and strategic, and with proof, as otherwise useless discussions and more misinformation and misinterpretations could develop. I feel like there are already quite a few people trying to rewrite history. We archive it all. Not everyone will seek this out like you and find more information on their own. If we had time to discuss, fine, but with June coming up, we will just have to respond to whatever comes up, whenever it does. I'm very cautious about bringing stuff back up unless somebody asks or it's seriously relevant to a new situation. But yea, the extend of it is unknown to most, it seems. For Army to be together and on the same page, we really need to know and help each other to understand.
      The focus is squarely on supporting Bangtan!

    It just is standard to expect tickets to sell out quickly in ARMY presale, and that will be on the 22nd at 3pm. Any general sales for the concert tickets, or the VIP tickets on the 23rd, are not going to happen, because it will sell out in ARMY pre-sale. AND very quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if tickets sell out in minutes.

Some countries have been waiting even longer. Granted i didn't complain because we're atleast getting a live stream and i haven't the money to travel to an actual show anyway (trying to save up for OT7 in the hope i manage to get a ticket then, it'll cost me a fortune just to travel the 700 miles to the closest place they normal perform at anyway.)

    Personal opinion here but I see all that anti-tiktok propaganda as just a propaganda, the only thing to “blame” tiktok for is they admitted they can and have boosted some sponsored songs. BUT EVERYONE DOES IT. RUclips’s ad views even of music videos are counted towards the actual count even if they are skipped, skipping them is not enough to make your ad - forced in other words - view to count. I appreciate for tiktok to at least be HONEST with its public, they didn’t lie and admitted business is business sometimes. Meanwhile what ruins the music charts is irrelevant radio which - in antipode to tiktok - is counted towards most influential charts yet is just shoving sponsored music down the throats of general public. The problem they all have with tiktok is the same as they have with bts - they don’t make money for the us and the us monopoly of music industry and if they did no one would even care

    • @pilarsv0
      @pilarsv0 11 дней назад

      Yeah and that's what bothers me the most about bbhot100. They give too much priority on radio that you always see the same songs on top 10, even though they lack on other things like sales and streaming. And also it's not what people actually listen, is what the radio stations "force" you to listen.

    i remember when i first got into bts and kdrama i was obsessed with korean culture and wanted to live there. but now after knowing more and more i would not. the human rights are so bad and how they treat and downgrade each other is so horrible. i do like some part of it. like the respect you have for older people, if it wasn´t for the older people who is abusing it to get what they want.
    also the bully culture is so bad in all asia actually. and all of them is obsessed with money and beauty it´s so superficial. and also when you watch 7 year old kdramas it is very much like older amarican romance movies. it made you belive in romance again.
    but the more you get to know how the industry works it all about their obsession with the US and wanting to compete with them by copying most of the concepts they come up with and that is the same for kpop too.
    but they are way behind on that. but us who live in the west and miss the old days really enjoying kpop becuse of that but if they truly want to compete neck to neck not decades behind. they need to think outside the box. but for many asians that is not a thing they are very good at. i would say japan is the best at it. china copy everything and everyone is doing it, you will se tons of yt videos all with the same concept. nothing new. same for korea. the trend in korea now is about Glamping "camping in luxus" while eating really good food. and also having a dog or cat with you. no video will have two people camping togehter or a surviving camping blogger dont exsist in korea. if you pay attention to the background you will see tents in the backgrounds of other creators doing the exact same thing. jumping the bandwagon is really high in korea and china in the west they value individuality more and want to be the first to create something unique and new. but that is not how people think in korea and china i feel. correct me if i am wrong but i feel most just want to be like everyone else. no one wants to stand out.
