Haters keep wanting to blame him for dredging up the past and restarting the "drama" but like he said in All in Due Time "just coz it's over don't mean I'm over it." It's so true. It was his LIFE. And I love that he isn't afraid to show his weakness yet leaving the listeners with hope and the promise of healing.
He had a almost dead experience. I don't you can really truly get over that, especially so quickly. Especially when it happened due to stress, people are so apathetic sometimes. Healing your mind from something like this must be so difficult, I can't even imagine.
I saw him live in Toronto a few weeks ago (his first ever tour show). When he introduced Lifeline he started crying which made me start crying. I couldn't even film him singing the song because the moment was so intimate I just had to stand and stare in awe and sadness of what he's been through these past years.
Also I agree all in due time is def the best closer because this is the “due time” that he’s now starting to share his stories so like expressing that after pouring how he feels in the other 5 songs is just soo beautiful
i am genuinely in AWE of this EP. josh is such a FREAKISHLY talented songwriter, he is so so strong... he really never deserved anything he went through AND IS STILL GOING THROUGH. i'm so fucking proud of him. i'm so grateful for him.
Thank you so much for reacting to him again, I know he isn't the biggest artist in the world but he connects to people in such an authentic way both as a person and an artist. I'm nearly 30 and didn't expect this kid (respectfully aha) to move me so consistently in the face of such awful things - maybe he won't take over the musical world, maybe he will, but either way he's gonna have fans for the rest of his life. This is quite an emo monologue but can't wait to watch/consume whatever he put our honestly
I was waiting for this! Used to it is my favorite but this whole EP BROKE ME. Like, wanting to cry at midnight with every new song. I'm so proud of him, that boy deserves so much success and recognition.
damn.. i just realised now that the neighbours not being able to sleep lyric could also be a metaphor for people wanting him to stop bringing up the drama because it's been a while ago... but he can't help it because "just cause it's over, don't mean that [he's] over it now".
he said that all in due time was a song he wrote when he was thinking about taking his life. it really changed my perspective on that song and now its one of my favorites because I can relate to it a lot
This EP is so good and emotional! You should definitely react to his music video for Lifeline ❤️ Joshua is so talented and deserves all the recognition. Every song is just so personal and raw. In love with this EP
I absolutely adore you Your reactions to everythingakes the music better...I don't know how it happenes...thank you so much for reacting So proud of joshua bassett
this ep is so incredibly beautiful. It's sad that this is a flex at this point for never have hating on him. Just let joshua live he did nothing wrong. ily.
I randomly came across a video, right after watching this, of josh singing LA live at "a night with Joshua bassett", maybe this is where you heard it from?
Your room is so cool man, all those album covers on the walls, the arcade, the dim lighting and the TV with those little fishs creates a really nice atmosphere
Love Joshua Bassett and your thoughts on music. Idk if you have heard yebba but her songs are so beautiful and I feel like you would have some good things to say about her writing.
I would love if you reacted to some of Florence + The Machine’s discography. One of my favorite songs of hers is Wish That You Were Here, but she is amazing. Love the video by the way!!!
Hey Michael I really don’t know if you take suggestions but have you ever reacted/ Listened to Durand Jones & The Indications (Aaron Frazer)? pretty underrated...
could you please react to Preacher’s Daughter by Ethel Cain? it’s her debut album and tells a haunting story about ethel her alter ego. it’s a lot of people’s aoty so far
Nobody reacts to Post Malone's new album twelve carat toothache :( that makes me sad because the songs are so beautiful, especially the ones without collaborations, but sadly those are the ones with less views
I like your reactions a lot, but i miss Selena Gomez reactions, just rewatched Revival and Rare reactions and i wish u did more of her discography : Revelacion (2021), Stars Dance (2013), When the sun goes down (2011), A year without rain (2010), Kiss and tell (2009) and Droplet Era (2015-2019) which is basically standalone singles she released between Revival and Rare, main droplets are It ain't me, Bad liar, Fetish, Wolves, Back to you, Taki taki and i can't get enough, but many people include We don't talk anymore, Trust nobody, i want you to know and anxiety.
Haters keep wanting to blame him for dredging up the past and restarting the "drama" but like he said in All in Due Time "just coz it's over don't mean I'm over it." It's so true. It was his LIFE. agreed. if other people are allowed to write a bunch of songs about it, so is he.
Exactly!
He had a almost dead experience. I don't you can really truly get over that, especially so quickly. Especially when it happened due to stress, people are so apathetic sometimes. Healing your mind from something like this must be so difficult, I can't even imagine.
Josh: "when I almost died you didn't care at all"
Michael: "f*ck"
Everyone: "f*ck"
Lifeline is such an incredible song. I’m so glad he was able to put that difficult experience into words and share it with us. proud of him for real
the lifeline music video is what truly destroyed me it’s so simple but exactly what the song needed in a music video
Josh truly outdid himself!
I saw him live in Toronto a few weeks ago (his first ever tour show). When he introduced Lifeline he started crying which made me start crying. I couldn't even film him singing the song because the moment was so intimate I just had to stand and stare in awe and sadness of what he's been through these past years.
sad songs in a hotel room 2:06
la 6:00
used to it 9:08
smoke slow 11:35
lifeline (aka the saddest song to ever exist) 14:09
all in due time 18:20
For sad songs in a hotel room, the fact that he mentions such a celebratory drink like champagne just makes it that much more emotional
Also I agree all in due time is def the best closer because this is the “due time” that he’s now starting to share his stories so like expressing that after pouring how he feels in the other 5 songs is just soo beautiful

This EP deserved so much more marketing and PR man 😢
damn.. i just realised now that the neighbours not being able to sleep lyric could also be a metaphor for people wanting him to stop bringing up the drama because it's been a while ago... but he can't help it because "just cause it's over, don't mean that [he's] over it now".
I cried so hard to lifeline especially considering I’ve been in the same exact position and my mom was by my side the entire time 😢
I hope he's ok, some of these songs are really heartbreaking, he's gone through so much already and he's still so young
he said that all in due time was a song he wrote when he was thinking about taking his life. it really changed my perspective on that song and now its one of my favorites because I can relate to it a lot
This EP is so good and emotional! You should definitely react to his music video for Lifeline ❤️ Joshua is so talented and deserves all the recognition. Every song is just so personal and raw. In love with this EP

I would love if you reacted to some of Florence + The Machine’s discography. One of my favorite songs of hers is Wish That You Were Here, but she is amazing. Love the video by the way!!!
Lifeline already hurts so much, and then you add in the video of just him with no cuts crying while singing. Somehow manages to hurt that much more
Check out Tamino's new album Sahar and also his older songs Indigo Night and Habibi (those two live are amazing).
Hey Michael I really don’t know if you take suggestions but have you ever reacted/ Listened to Durand Jones & The Indications (Aaron Frazer)? pretty underrated...
