I think martell jumped on melody goals and dreams because he hasn't got any. Melody had a future and a 10 year plan. Martell was looking for a come up. Even when he cheated he got with someone who's less than he never did better than his ex wife. Martell knew Mel was out of his league and wanted to knock her down to make himself look superior.

The therapist is not new. She has seen both Melody and Martel together. When they first got divorced, they went to see about co-parenting. He got emotional Melody out he hands on his back to run it and he snapped and told her to get off him and “stop”. She has been seeing him for years. Not consistent but for years.
I also think that is not only about sex with Martell and Arionne, like you said, she goes along with his very low brow nature and I think that’s because he makes her feel important there. She will go along with him because for her, she’s proving “I’m ten toes down for you.” Once that is done, he’s back to that treatment where she’s questioning why she’s still dealing with him.

If Martel were to write an autobiography he’d title this chapter of his life distracting addictions, because you’re right, it appears that he sees her as a bad habit .. or definitely bad for him. Ken has been a red flag to me since day 1. Ken’s ability to bully Marquez in front of Marquez and Trish kids is distasteful. Trish is using Ken to punish Marquez. Trish couldn’t care less for Ken.

I believe Martell left Arionne while she was pregnant and right after she had Knox. Remember she was on the internet flipping out, talking crazy, and not being a very good mother. Martell came back to Arionne later after Sheree and Belinda realized he wasn’t worth their time and left him alone. Arionne is the last one standing. She is also willing to be used by Martell just to keep him around. Arionne knows where she stands with Martell and she knows fully how he feels about his ex wife but she doesn’t have anything else going on for herself so she clings to Martell and Melody.

The therapist is not new. She has seen both Melody and Martel together. When they first got divorced, they went to see about co-parenting. He got emotional Melody out he hands on his back to run it and he snapped and told her to get off him and “stop”. She has been seeing him for years. Not consistent but for years.

I used to want to have compassion for Arion, but I simply don’t anymore. Is it really a mistake if you are constantly knowingly continuously dealing with someone after you’ve even spoken to the wife. She’s taunted her so I don’t think it’s a mistake.

If Martel were to write an autobiography he’d title this chapter of his life distracting addictions, because you’re right, it appears that he sees her as a bad habit .. or definitely bad for him. And while drugs are a “choice” no one will ever say that heroin or cocaine aren’t still innately bad, so Arrione will have to go inward and really learn to validate herself and analyze her own choices.
