For anyone who is doubting Khamzat potential. Ikram has a win over yaroslav amosov in sambo who is ranked no. 5 in bellator p4p. The sayings "khamzat is untested in the game" are not so relevant...

Respect to this man for answering continuous questions about that brutal knockout and the only loss on his record for 8 minutes straight, kinda annoying but he handled it well. He didn’t just get ‘caught’. Khamzat made a perfect read when Ikram was throwing jabs the whole fight and countered his Jab with the uppercut. Plus Khamzat was only 1 year into doing MMA going into that fight so it’s obvious that’s he’s gonna bring a lower fight IQ like making mistakes gassing himself for the takedowns and yet Ikram had been doing MMA his whole life (sambo) and still lost to a guy only 1 year into mma. So it’s obvious who’s more talented and a better fighter. Khamzats probably at another level now for Ikram to beat him tbh.

I wonder what would happen if he didn't rush on the feets and let Khamzat gassing out himself on the second and third round, knowing that Khamzat would not be able to take him down he would maybe be the one to win over Khamzat.
He has a lot of potentials and I can see him be in the top 10 of the UFC knowing his sambo credentials, I hope Dana sign him ASAP so they can also make a banger rematch in the UFC.

To be honest that was quite disappointing. I expected a more humble interview.. The knockout wasn't just a 'fluke' but a great set up punch. (Watch the Weasle breakdown of it. He explains it perfectly) Also the KO wasn't the only punch he landed.. He knocked him down with a jab after 30 seconds. But the most disappointing was when he was asked about who is the better wrestler khabib or chimaev.. He is asked about the wrestling and he starts to talk about the legacy ? He doesnt give any credit to chimaev the whole interview. Not a single credit to his striking, punching power or wrestling. But at that question you can see through his facial expressions that he dislikes chimaev pretty much. I dont know if he has valid reasons or not, but that still was quite disappointing.
