- 👋 In todays video I show a detailed installation of the Armaspeed cold air intake for the B58 Toyota Supra! The Armaspeed intake has a full carbon fiber tube which really makes this a louder sounding intake! You hear the turbo even more and its pretty sweet! The lid comes in aluminum, but you can option it in woven or forged carbon fiber. Definitely a showpiece under the hood! The air-box will fit a bit loose and be more of a floating design sitting into the rubber grommets. So there will be some flex to it. Since the engine moves side to side while driving, in order to not damage the carbon pipe, the air-box has the wiggle room to absorb that flex. This is an easy pipe to install on the turbo and the fittings for the lid are the hardest part of the install. You'll have to wiggle it around a bit to line up the holes. This intake fits well with the stock strut bars, and fits even nicer with Armaspeed bars. The Rexpeed ones fit like OEM but other brands may not fit. The top cover is flexible, sure, but mine ended up cracking while shifting it around (it was caught on the plastic in front and slid off and cracked elwhen i gave it a nudge to make it fit better) so do still be gentle with it

@@BrosFOURRSpeed that’s it in mate! Although it’s raining and I can’t get much power down I’m finding it hard to hear any flutters, I saw you mention this is one video but do you think the aluminium version and the fibre version would be that different from one another?

@@I_push_chickens hey Jeff, apologies for the delay, initially this was the case but if you build up pressure and let off it makes as much noise as the videos do show. It is amazing and I’m glad I bought it for sure. Some people remove the top cover apparently and it’s even louder but still to try. Definitely but if you are considering it it’s very good 👍

I think I might go with this intake since it has a nice cutout for the bars. Do you prefer this over the MST? Or, is there anything else you found to offer better sound / performance?

Hows the noise when not on sport mode/high throttle?
I want it to be fun and noisy on sport/high rpm though not obnoxious during comfort mode.
Sport mode doesn't really affect the engines sound. It does the exhaust valve and fake engine sounds through the speakers. But if you're not hard on the gas, you don't hear the intake that much vs flooring it. The MST intake is a bit quieter tho than this. We carry both on our site! brosfourrspeed.com

In the sound clips at the end, how did you get the fluttering sound so prominent? Was the windows up / down or was it coming from the fake interior sound? The 2nd sound clip is quieter, hardly can hear the intake.

Which is intake is louder on the MT Supra? Will you be testing the HKS intake?
The Armaspeed is a bit louder than the MST. I haven't been around the HKS to test that one

You should be able to. As long as the pipe would fit to the stock intake, it should fit to this one
