the low powerful shots is really useful. just need to practice a bit to get that muscle memory
This was the best advanced shooting I could find that was an easy explanation, in game is much harder or course and on TP!
I also mastered it. Its best for shots outside the box. To make it more effective on one on one always do a lob

Scoring opportunity is very limit each game, and you can't waste that each open shot to shoot over cross bar. Learned that last two year, and switch back to basic. You get higher chance to mid range shot, but one on one always seem problem because I need to make decisions.
Advanced shooting in PES should give an advantage after it is trained but the amount of 100% opportunities wasted is too high in my opinion...

Advanced shoot look good, you can do many kind of shoot from the distance.
The problem is when you are one on one with the keeper, the timing and the direction make you confused and the probabilities that you miss are so much..
Advnaced shoot with broadcast camera is even more difficult. ☹
I have a millisecond to decide, maybe I should pause the game, set my left stick & unpause. Hahaha. I choose basic because it's chance just like my passing game so feels realistic. That target showing up in advance disappears because I blink.
haha. i like basic too. you are right, advanced feels a bit overpowered when you get used to it. basic is better for simulation
I play manual shooting. Firstly it's difficult, but later when you master it's amazing and natural like in normal match.

yes. the "directional guide" can be turned off in the same menu. Below shot type for the advanced shooting

What is your opinion about Finess shooting? When to use and when not to use? Some people say that it is always a good idea to use Finess shooting inside the box. At the moment with my experience I kind of disagree. Seems more appropriate to use when you are not fronting the goal.

Today I missed an incredible goal after a pass...almost under the post and the gk saved it. No pressure from other players so I wonder what I am doing wrong, if I need Finess shooting.
It happens in real life with pro players so I guess normal?
Perhaps you can do a finess shooting video? Just a suggestion.
Hi there, glad the videos helped. In my experience, finesse is better when not facing the goal directly and when the angle is too tight.

Great video! When I'm aiming middle does it make a difference if i push the analog stick up or down while pressing shooting or if i press shooting first and then choose the direction with the analog stick?
its hard to press shoot first then choose direction. usually the player will kick the ball before you can choose direction.
shoot with the direction then you have a bit of time to change the direction if you want.

yes. dont think dipping and rising work with advanced shooting
My bad. Dipping shot still works with advance. Aim middle then as the player is going to kick the ball, press shoot button again (similar to knuckle shot)

Thanks. With advanced shots, how often does the game incorrectly pick up LS as running direction rather than aiming direction when shooting? Is it difficult to time?
there is a small timeframe to aim when you press the shoot button which should be enough. just need a little bit of time to get used to

What if i play with directional.pad and not analog stick ? Should i still aim.shots with the left stick ?
no. using dpad will change all the input required using left stick to dpad i.e. dribbling, shooting, skills, changing formation.

Should still work the same mate, just aim diagonally away from goal for lower aiming.
yes. just make sure not to press the d-pad towards the goal. up, down, and back only.
