i am sorry i missed this live but i have been running my husband to appointments post-stroke. i am looking foreword to seeing what Sara suggests. i am fortunate that the local guild has one i can and have played with. -adding a non-spip shelf liner will help keep the board from slipping. - lift up and pull down a bit more as you are winding onto your sticks, ah you got it! - make sure your dowels are really smooth especially if you have included silk. oh i like your cow! -if you want to include yarn or sari wast yes cut it into little short bits to drop in as accents. sometimes it dose not spin up well so sample to get the length you will need to cut the yarn. also making sure the yarn is sandwiched between layers of wool will help it integrate into the rolag and the spun yarn. i hope you have a "spin-in" in your parking lot some summer weekend!! it would be fun to drive down and spin with other spinners /felters!
