Because of the speed of 21km/h. You normally only get halfway across the map before you are killed by heatfs from a cold war era tank. So most cases of you seeing Maus tanks staying back it won't be out of choice.

I play the MAUS all the time. My experience with CAS is meh by the time someone has gone for a revenge bomb, You already have 4 or 5 kills, which is already decent enough plus if you have the 10.5CM Tiger on the line up it's even better

Maus in Wot isn't supposed to be blocking everything. It is supposed to bounce some shots white outtrading enemies with HP pool and good gun. The only problem is that slow tank is difficult for a lot of maps and turbo meta (although it is also one of the tank that is alleviated a lot by turbo)
@@zeroyuki92 Maus doesn't out-trade anyone DPS wise. It's just a fat damage sponge. People see Maus as a "damage farm". It has one of the worst guns for such a heavy. Anything and everything can penetrate Maus. Even though highly angled armor. I remember having several holes on my UPPER FRONT PLATE. The one place which should never be penetrated. But the Power creep is such that Maus is now on the "weakly armoured" side of the tanks. You aren't dodging anything. You aren't bouncing anything. You can barely penetrate half the targets with premium ammo while most tanks can just shred you through even well angled Turret front, or in some cases, through upper front plate.. you know, the one place no tank should be able to go through.
its all fun in games until a random turbo charge IS-7 comes screaming around the corner and you get face hugged to death not matter what tank you are in

I mean some of these tactics can be replicated, dragging a destroyed tank works also in War Thunder and helps a lot against Atgms, and you can crush tanks in both wt and wot but on the other hand in World of Tanks artillery loves tanks like Maus, Oi, E-100, T-95 etc. So both are even very similar.
WT physics are so fack aşš that it isnt a viable/common use thing, WOT has good physics for many gameplay stuff, you know what mean if you ever see tanks shaking even standing still, tiny bit. so unstable (((

Doesn't matter how much armor you have, T10's with premium ammo can just pen you at any angle anyway.
