I entered in med school in jupiter mahadasha and venus antardasha and i think jupiter is the most important planet in my horoscope as i always had a association with teaching.
Not many comments to support this technique but it may work. Mars is the closest to my lagna and I was born on Tuesday (may be a coincidence). I'm yet to experience Mars Mahadasha. I will come back after few years to confirm if this technique works.

It is a common doubt many have but I think most people with Saturn as the strongest planet or Atmakaraka or closest to ascendant will live long enough to experience some part of Saturn Mahadasha. It works... I am Aries ascendant with 2 degrees 8 minutes and moon at 5 degrees 43 minutes in 1st house... I feel very emotional and intuitive...

I just checked Saturn is the closest followed by Venus. Saturn is also her Atmakaraka, so she rose to power.

Usually, I take 5 degrees either side.
Do you use true nodes or mean nodes? And do the outer planets also count?
